Hier die Pressemitteilung: <ul><i>Fremont, CA (May 23, 2006) –Corsair® Memory today unveiled the world’s first DDR2-800 2GB kit rated at true low latency of CL3. The latest addition to the award-winning XMS™ family of products, TWIN2X2048-6400C3 delivers unparalleled memory performance at 800MHz and supports the industry’s lowest latencies of 3-4-3-9 in this speed grade. Featuring Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP), a new open memory standard jointly development by Corsair and NVIDIA®, the users can take advantage of the added memory performance characteristics and capabilities when used with an EPP-capable motherboard.
Using an extensive RAM screening process developed by Corsair, the new TWIN2X2048-6400C3 offers superior performance and rock solid stability at 800MHz at CL3. Optimized for the latest generation of processors and memory controllers, TWIN2X2048-6400C3 is a flexible memory solution that delivers outstanding performance at both low latency and high frequency. Designed with the ultra-enthusiasts in mind, the TWIN2X2048-6400C3 offers ample overclocking headroom, making it the ideal solution for anyone looking to build the most powerful DDR2 based systems.
“uring the development phase of the new socket AM2 memory controller, we worked with Corsair on memory performance and optimization,” said Leslie Sobon, director of product and brand management, Desktop Division, AMD. “The socket AM2 memory controller is effective at taking advantage of low memory latencies. We applaud Corsair on the release of their new 800MHz low latency memory, and look forward to continuing to provide customers with high performance products.”
Similar to other new XMS DDR2 products from Corsair, the TWIN2X2048-6400C3 features Enhanced Performance Profiles. These profiles elevate memory performance by taking full advantage of the additional memory parameters that are now added to the unused portion of the JEDEC standard Serial Presence Detect (SPD). EPP brings simplified overclocking success for entry level enthusiasts, and access to more advanced memory specifications and a higher recovery point for hard-core overclockers. To take full advantage of the Enhanced Performance Profiles, motherboards designed with a special BIOS can recognize the presence of EPP settings. Once these settings are enabled, the system boots directly into the memory’s specified settings and takes immediate advantage of the increased performance.
“Our enthusiasts customers have been telling us that they demand a true low latency DDR2 2GB kit. We are proud to be the first manufacturer to develop and deliver this product” said Martin Mueller, Director of Design Engineering at Corsair Memory. “We have seen significant performance gains on the AMD processor-based platforms when the memory runs at the lowest latencies possible,” continued Mueller.
The TWIN2X2048-6400C3 is available immediately in 2GB kits through Corsair’s authorized distributors, resellers, retailers and e-tailers. All Corsair memory products are backed by a lifetime warranty and complete customer support via telephone, email, forum and TechSupport Xpress troubleshooting guide. For more information on TWIN2X2048-6400C3, please visit <a href="http://www.corsair.com/corsair/products.html" target="b">http://www.corsair.com/corsair/products.html</a>. For more information on EPP, go to <a href="http://www.corsair.com/corsair/epp_index.html" target="b">http://www.corsair.com/corsair/epp_index.html</a>.</i></ul>

Viel eher würden ja schnellere Riegel was bringen.
