22.06.2022 08:49:14 | World Community Grid | Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable
Mal sehen, ob da nun auch zeitnah was kommt.

Bisher stand da immer "shutdown for maintenace".

*noahnung*

For those wondering why we decided to reopen the website and forums before the WCG BOINC platform, it was to allow volunteers to communicate with each other and not feel neglected by the team. But also, you are now helping us to find additional bugs and missing images and improve the system; so thank you for powering WCG and helping to improve it. Once we restart the BOINC, we trust you will help us to catch any remaining issues.

As a start, I wanted to address by far the biggest concern that the team has been seeing on the forums recently: why is the “migration” taking so long? The move of WCG from IBM to our group at Krembil Research Institute has been a significant undertaking, considering time, people and physical infrastructure. After planning, legal matters, design and setup, we had to reconfigure the system to work on our current hardware, and consider our licensing options. While we did expand our MCM team lightly, we are still a very small academic team. The process has been taking longer than we anticipated; but be assured that we are working hard to ensure WCG will continue accelerating science with your help!

The projects will 100% resume sometime in the near future

*clap**great*

In Gänze hier nachzulesen:

Ich bekomme aktuell keine Arbeit, no work available :(

(07.07.2022 10:32:23 | World Community Grid | This project seems to have changed its URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add https://master.worldcommunitygrid.org/)
Außerdem gibts auch da keine Wuzen.
Aber convenient ist es natürlich immer. :D

Zuletzt bearbeitet:

Hi everyone, we've seen some questions repeated among multiple volunteers that we'd like to address quickly.

For volunteers that did not receive any new workunits to crunch, we'd like to emphasize that only a limited amount of workunits were sent out as part of a testing phase. For those of you who were confused by our previous messaging, we're sorry.

About the URL change, please disregard this notice and do not update the URL, as the existing URL is correct.

Finally, the common error that stats "Server is out of disk space", all WCG servers have an excess of free space, as does the shared filesystem. We are investigating the cause of this error and will update when it is resolved. The bug reports are a great help and very much appreciated.

EDIT: We have identified the cause of the intermittent error about a full disk on the upload server that was preventing users from uploading their results. The interface on which the shared filesystem is mounted stopped responding on one of the upload servers and the exact cause is still under investigation. For the time being, the virtual machine that is exhibiting this behavior has been removed from the balancer group for uploads and downloads of workunits. We will continue to monitor the situation. A sincere thank you to all volunteers who reported this issue.

If you have any other questions, please leave them below and we will answer them as soon as we can.

- WCG Team

Habe wieder WU erhalten... WU OPN1_0110229_01729:

Habe sage und schreibe 4 OPNG-Wus "bekommen".
Allerdings hakt es beim Download. :(
