Hallo,

aufgrund einiger Probleme von Windows mit 64c/128t musste ich notgedrungen meinen EPYC 7V12 auf Linux umstellen.
- Kubuntu als ubuntu 20.04 installiert
- BOINC installiert
- über WINE auch die 32bit Libs erhalten
- cc_config.xml angepasst
- remote_hosts.cfg angepasst
- gui_rpc_auth.cfg angepasst

Ergebnis:
BOINC läuft fleißig durch yoyo & wuprop
BOINC meldet die entsprechenden Zeilen bzgl. Remote Zugriff von den richtigen IPs
Aber ich komm von meinem Boinc Manager (Windows) nicht auf den EPYC Rechner (solange Linux BOINC läuft - bei Windows gehts) ?!?

Was nu?

Beim EPYC-System allein wäre es kein Problem da IPMI - aber ich will ja auch noch die anderen Systeme kontrollieren/steuern und die haben kein IPMI

Was tippst Du denn als Rechnernamen ein?
Der wird bei mir manchmal auch nicht akzeptiert, aber mit der IP klappts immer. Allerdings nutze ich nur reine Linux-Verbindungen. Wusste gar nicht, dass das auch mit Windows funktioniert.
 
Es wird halt der BOINC Kern (zb boinc.exe) und ne Steuerung (boincmgr.exe oder boinccmd.exe) benötigt und dann kann man sich mit nem anderen BOINC-Rechner verbinden - so lange die BOINC Versionen in etwa gleich sind (6.x oder 7.x) gehts idR schon

Na toll - muss ich scheinbar alle Kisten im Router pikn (feste IP Adressen) und dann über die IP-Adressen arbeiten *motz*
 
Warum nimmst du nicht einfach BoincTask?
Einfach auf einer Win Kiste installieren und damit alle anderen steuern/überwachen.
 
Ich verwende das gute alte BOINCVIEW
