Für die mutigen unter uns...im Forum von Guru3D kann man einen geleakten Catalyst 14.4 Beta...wahrscheinlich auch Releasetreiber für R9 295X ziehen. Die anderen Karten, wie u.a. meine HD 7970, werden wohl auch unterstützt.

Ich habe den 14.4er von station-drivers.com seit gestern oder vorgestern* installiert und alle Komponenten laufen einwandfrei.
* Dort ist der Treiber seit letztem Freitag verfügbar.

The issue can be overcome by rebooting the PC; upon reboot the display driver will be installed. The remaining Catalyst components can then be installed.

Inzwischen ist der Finale draußen. Sogar noch mit Windows XP Support. Geiler Zug von AMD, dafür nochmal einen neuen zu machen.

Der XP-Treiber hat absolut nichts mit dem Entwicklungsstand vom regulären 14.4 zu tun. Bis auf den Namen gibt es keinerlei Gemeinsamkeiten. Das Teil ist völlig veraltet. Wird wahrscheinlich eine minimal angepasste Version von der Version sein, die schon für die AM1-Plattform veröffentlicht wurde.
Was daran jetzt besonders toll sein soll, kann ich nicht erkennen. Welche Bugs sie behoben haben, steht auch nirgendwo. Am Ende sind nur die IDs für die FS1b-Kabinis eingeflossen. Release Notes werden ja wie gewöhnlich keine veröffentlicht.

Nachdem Microsoft den eigenen Support für XP eingestellt hat, müßte ein anderer Hersteller einen feuchten Kericht noch machen. Daher ist es ansich ein feiner Zug von AMD, in den Desktop Treibern die aktuelle R9ner Serie, etc. und dein "Lieblingsthema" Kabini noch einzupflegen.
Und was kann ein Grafiktreiber, der ein System unterstützt, welches max. DX 9.0c kann, denn anderes sein, als "technisch veraltet"?
Aber, sei es drum.
