die Polen haben schon wieder ein neues Projekt auf den Markt geworfen, Euer Team gibt's schon (Planet 3Dnow!).

Plagiarism@Home is designed to find plagiarism's in Internet.

Plagiarism at home uses distributed computers to search given text for potential plagiarism in Internet resources. Many people writing their work tend to "forget" the resources they used to create their work. This is especially important in scientific works. If anyone uses someone else's work as their own it is called plagiarism. Whenever some one else's work is used it should be noted and credit given to the author. For the people judging the work it is extremely hard to know all possible resources and text on the subject. It is nearly impossible to catch all potential plagiarism in the paper. This project aims to help them. Given the text, the project will provide a network of volunteer computers to search the Internet for similar texts or parts of the text. This will help to find potential resources that the author failed to mention in his work. It will help also the authors of the original works to get the credit they should have for their original work.

WARNING! This project applications heavy use internet connection by downloading web sites!

Das Gebiet ist leider bei den ganzen Projektthreads hier bei Euch im Forum nicht wirklich abgebildet, da da eigentlich nur naturwissenschaftliche Kategorien stehen, hier geht's ja eher um Sozialwissenschaften. Daher habe ich das mal hierhin gepostet, wenn's woanders hin soll, einfach verschieben.

Beinahe vergessen:
Das Projekt ist definitiv im Alpha-Status.
Ein aktueller Fehler sind Downloadprobleme der Datei, die es zu überprüfen gilt, nachzulesen hier im Fred Errors.

Eine Umgehungsstrategie, falls der auftritt, ist folgendes:

Wenn es um die dort erwähnte "doc4.in" geht, die kann auch manuell geholt werden, und zwar hier: http://plagiarism.boincpolska.org/plagiarism/download/doc4.in
Aktuell ist die Datei wohl doc7.in, vermutlich später dann auch mal noch größere Zahlen, einfach den Link entsprechend ändern.

Mein erfolgreiches Vorgehen war jedenfalls dies:

1. Projekt auf NNW setzen
2. Projekt aktualisieren
3. Datei in das Projektverzeichnis kopieren
4. Wieder Arbeit für's Projekt zulassen
5. Vorhandensein der Datei wird erkannt

Seitdem funztz's, zumindest meist.

Mittlerweile läuft das Projekt eigentlich ganz geschmeidig, ich hab kaum noch Berechnungsfehler, nur die WU Versorgung ist etwas holprig, d.h. es werden immer mal wieder eine Handvoll WU`s erzeugt ( ca. 6000 ), die aber recht schnell abgearbeitet sind.

Eine Windows App. Gibt es mittlerweile auch.

Die Laufzeiten der WU`s sind zwischen 200-400 Sekunden, Ausreißer bis 2000s.
Pro WU gibt es 1.5cr.

Die benötigte CPU Zeit ist dabei recht unterschiedlich:

Opteron 3280 Linux 3.5.0-42 ( Ubuntu 12.10 ) BM 7.0.27 CPU-Zeit 0.02s

Opteron 3280 Linux 3.11.0-12 ( Ubuntu 13.10 ) BM 7.2.7 CPU-ZEIT ~5-15s

PhenomII 1090T Windows 7 BM 7.0.64 CPU-ZEIT 10-40s

Die WU`s haben ein Quorum von 2, das Pending ist aber recht kurz. Immer nur eine Aufgabe pro Rechner.

Ganz selten kann es vorkommen, das eine WU hängen bleibt.
Also nach langer Zeit endlich mal wieder ein neues NCI Projekt.
