Day 12 16 May 2024 Days of Decision​

Less than three days remain for the teams to tip the scales in their favour in the remaining disciplines. Tomorrow will see the final decision at the Javelin Throw. It can already be seen that many teams are looking for a decision today. But more on that tomorrow.

The situations in the Steeplechase and the Marathon remain exciting. Today is the first obstacle in the Steeplechase and we will see what consequences this has.

Marathon (PrimeGrid: only subproject Cullen Prime Search LLR (CUL))
The first ranks seem to be safe here. TAAT is clearly ahead of P3D and SG. The podium thus seems to be set; [H] (#4) and CNT (#5) are clearly behind and would have to do supernatural things to turn the tide here. And it currently does not look as if they are scaling back here in order to attack in other disciplines either.

LTT (#6) is able to pull away from GPUUG (#7), but is still far from safe, as their lead is not insurmountable. NoTEAM has a decent shot at defending #8, but the three-way battle behind them could still pose a threat.

SUSA (#9), Ukraine (#10), and AF (#11) are giving each other nothing in the battle for the final ranks in the top 10 and might be able to catch up with RKN in a frenzy. RKN (#12) might also be capable of targeting the top 10, but would have to improve their performance to do so.

TC (#13) is suspiciously weak right now. If the dragon does not pick up pace, the AMD Users (#14) will be able to pass. At least there seems to be no threat from behind, as MK (#15) and BOINC.Italy (#16) are running much slower. This duo will fight it out for #15.

Chinese Dream (#17) or Crunching@EVGA (#18) is the question behind them, with the Chinese currently running a little faster. Behind them, OCN (#19) is almost as fast at the moment, but is already well behind. BOINC@AUSTRALIA in #20 has at least theoretically an option to threaten OCN, but unfortunately is unlikely to pull it off.

While B^S (#21) tries to keep LITOMYSL (#22) at bay, BS (#23) tries to do the same with TFFE (#24). In both duels, everything is still possible in the final spurt. UBT (#25), however, is unlikely to move up, unless they pull off a phenomenal surprise.

Steeplechase (MilkyWay@home)
Today, a 30% bonus is added to the performance, and TAAT (#1) is making the most of it so far. Behind them, P3D once again follows in #2. At the halfway point, it seems that neither SG (#3) nor LTT (#4) can keep up with the pace at the top. We will have to keep an eye on LTT, as they are currently weakening a bit. GPUUG (#5) might be able to do what SG has done, which is to overtake LTT.

CNT (#6) is keeping a rather low profile behind them, but has nevertheless managed to pull away from [H] (#7), who in turn pulled away from Ukraine (#8). And here, we again have a three-way battle for the ranks in the top 10. Ukraine is still in the lead, but AF (#9) and NoTEAM (#10) are fighting fiercely.

TC (#11) has lost some ground and should now take a look behind, where SUSA (#12) is closing in. The Americans have picked up some pace and pulled BOINC.Italy (#13) in their slipstream. In contrast, RKN (#14), OCN (#15), and BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#16) have lost ground. While RKN still tries to keep contact with Italy, OCN and Australia are busy with each other.

The AMD Users (#17) have also been doing well in the last hours and have passed Crunching@EVGA (#18). And now MK (#19) wants to do the same. They are slowly picking up pace and have thus left the bottom of the ranking for the time being.

TFFE (#20) is trying to take advantage of the slipstream or is waiting for the cool ones to experience a hot spell. Behind them, LITOMYSL (#21) has lined up and is breaking away from Chinese Dream (#22) and BS (#23). Behind them, UBT (#24) is stuck between a rock and a hard place, because B^S (#25) and Russia (#26) are no further away than the duo in front. Crystal Dream brings up the rear in #27.

It is all set for the finals. Tomorrow, the Javelin Throw will enter the home straight and the ranking in the Steeplechase has not yet been decided. And of course the overall standings are still exciting.

Jour 12 16/05/2024 Journées décisives​

Les équipes ont moins de trois jours sur les disciplines restantes pour faire pencher la balance de leur côté. Demain, ce sera déjà la fin du Lancer de javelot et on voit déjà qu'une grande partie des équipes cherche à amener la décision aujourd'hui. Mais je vous en dirai plus demain.

Les situations au Steeple-chase et au Marathon restent enthousiasmantes. Le premier obstacle se présente aujourd'hui au Steeple-chase et nous verrons quelles conséquences il aura.

Marathon (PrimeGrid: uniquement le sous-projet Cullen Prime Search LLR (CUL))
Les premières places semblent distribuées. TAAT mène clairement devant P3D et SG. Le podium paraît donc occupé, car [H] (#4) et CNT (#5) sont nettement en retrait et devraient faire des efforts surhumains pour que le vent tourne. Et pour l'instant, on ne dirait pas non plus qu'elles réduisent la voilure dans d'autres disciplines pour préparer une attaque.

LTT (#6) arrive certes à se détacher de GPUUG (#7), mais elle est loin d'être en sécurité car son avance n'est pas insurmontable. NoTEAM a de bonnes chances de défendre la 8e place, mais la triangulaire qui se joue après pourrait encore la mettre en danger.

SUSA (#9), Ukraine (#10) et l'AF (#11) ne se font pas de cadeau dans la bagarre pour les dernières places du top10. Dans leur euphorie, elles seraient capables de rattraper NoTEAM. RKN (#12), aussi, serait tout à fait capable de lorgner sur le top10, mais pour ça, elle devrait améliorer ses performances.

La faiblesse de TC (#13) est suspecte. Si le Dragon n'accélère pas, les AMD Users (#14) lui passeront devant. En tout cas, aucun danger ne semble menacer à l'arrière, puisque les MK (#15) et BOINC.Italy (#16) sont nettement plus lentes. Ce duo se disputera la 15e place.

Chinese Dream (#17) ou Crunching@EVGA (#18)? Telle est la question, sachant que les Chinois sont un poil plus rapides en ce moment. Derrière, OCN (#19) est presque aussi rapide, mais elle doit rattraper un sacré retard. Au rang 20, nous trouvons BOINC@AUSTRALIA qui a l'opportunité théorique de mettre OCN en danger, mais malheureusement, elle ne devrait pas profiter de la situation.

Tandis que B^S (#21) tente de tenir LITOMYSL (#22) à distance, BS (#23) essaie la même chose avec TFFE (#24). Pour ces deux duels, tout est encore possible lors du sprint final. En revanche, pour UBT (#25), ce n'est plus possible, à moins de nous surprendre de manière phénoménale.

Steeple-chase (MilkyWay@home)
Aujourd'hui, il y a un bonus de 30 % sur les performances et jusqu'à présent, c'est TAAT (#1) qui en profite le mieux. Derrière, une fois de plus, nous avons P3D au rang 2. En cette mi-temps, on dirait que ni SG (#3), ni LTT (#4) n'arrivent à suivre le rythme des équipes de tête. Nous devrons garder un il sur LTT, car elle faiblit un peu là. Le GPUUG (#5) pourraient réussir la même chose que SG, à savoir doubler.

CNT (#6) reste encore un peu à couvert derrière, mais elle a réussi à se détacher de [H] (#7), qui a réussi à prendre de l'avance sur l'Ukraine (#8). Et nous revoilà avec une triangulaire pour les places dans le top10. Pour l'instant, l'Ukraine est en tête, mais l'AF (#9) et NoTEAM (#10) se défendent avec acharnement.

TC (#11) a un peu laisser filer et devrait peut-être se retourner: SUSA (#12) est en approche. Les Américains sont en plein décollage et ont entraîné BOINC.Italy (#13) avec eux. En revanche, RKN (#14), OCN (#15) et BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#16) ont perdu. Alors que RKN tend encore les antennes vers l'Italie, OCN et l'Australie se battent entre elles.

Les AMD Users (#17) ont également bien progressé ces dernières heures et ont dépassé Crunching@EVGA (#18). Les MK (#19) veulent faire de même. Ils commencent lentement à monter en régime et ont ainsi réussi à s'arracher momentanément du bas du classement.

TFFE (#20) tente encore de profiter de leur sillage, à moins qu'elle attende une arrivée d'air chaud chez les gars cool. LITOMYSL (#21) s'est rangée derrière et est en train de se détacher de Chinese Dream (#22) et BS (#23). UBT (#24), derrière, se trouve entre l'arbre et l'écorce, car B^S (#25) et Russia (#26) ne sont pas plus loin que le duo qui la précède. En queue de peloton, nous retrouvons Crystal Dream au rang 27.

Tout est prêt pour les finales. Demain, le Lancer de javelot entrera dans la dernière ligne droite. Les positions ne sont pas encore figées au Steeple-chase. Et le classement général reste aussi passionnant, bien sûr.

Tag 12 16.05.2024 Tage der Entscheidung​

Weniger als drei Tage bleiben den Teams, in den verbleibenden Disziplinen die Waage zu ihren Gunsten zu neigen. Morgen steht schon die endgültige Entscheidung beim Speerwerfen an. Hier lässt sich bereits erkennen, dass ein großer Teil der Teams heute die Entscheidung sucht. Dazu aber morgen mehr.

Die Ausgangslagen beim Jagdrennen und Marathon bleiben weiter spannend. Beim Jagdrennen steht heute nun das erste Hindernis an und wir werden sehen, was dies für Konsequenzen hat.

Marathon (PrimeGrid: nur das Subprojekt Cullen Prime Search LLR (CUL))
Hier scheinen die ersten Plätze verteilt. TAAT führt klar vor P3D und SG. Damit scheint das Podium besetzt; [H] (#4) und CNT (#5) liegen deutlich zurück, müssten schon Übermenschliches leisten, um das Blatt hier zu wenden. Und es sieht derzeit auch nicht so aus, als würden sie für einen Angriff in anderen Disziplinen zurückschrauben.

LTT (#6) kann sich zwar von GPUUG (#7) absetzen, ist aber noch lange nicht in Sicherheit, da der Vorsprung aufholbar ist. NoTEAM hat gute Chancen #8 zu verteidigen, doch könnte der Dreikampf dahinter ihnen noch gefährlich werden.

SUSA (#9), Ukraine (#10) und AF (#11) schenken sich nichts im Kampf um die letzten Top-10-Plätze und wären im Rausch in der Lage, NoTEAM einzuholen. Auch RKN (#12) wäre durchaus in der Lage, auf die Top 10 zu schielen, allerdings müsste dazu eine Leistungssteigerung einsetzen.

Verdächtig schwach ist derzeit TC (#13) unterwegs. Wenn der Drache nicht beschleunigt, werden die AMD Users (#14) noch vorbeigehen können. Zumindest von hinten scheint keine Gefahr zu drohen, da MK (#15) und BOINC.Italy (#16) deutlich langsamer unterwegs sind. Dieses Duo wird #15 unter sich ausmachen.

Chinese Dream (#17) oder Crunching@EVGA (#18), ist die Frage dahinter, wobei die Chinesen derzeit etwas flotter unterwegs sind. Dahinter ist OCN (#19) derzeit fast genauso schnell unterwegs, hat aber doch schon einen deutlichen Rückstand. Auf #20 findet sich BOINC@AUSTRALIA, die zumindest theoretisch eine Option haben, um OCN zu gefährden, doch leider wird man diese wohl nicht ziehen.

Während B^S (#21) versucht, sich LITOMYSL (#22) vom Leib zu halten, versucht BS (#23) dasselbe mit TFFE (#24). Bei beiden Duellen ist im Schlussspurt noch alles drin. Für UBT (#25) allerdings wird es wohl nichts mehr, es sei denn, man überrascht uns phänomenal.

Jagdrennen (MilkyWay@home)
Heute gibt es 30% Bonus auf die Leistung und bisher nutzt das TAAT (#1) am besten aus. Dahinter folgt wieder einmal P3D auf #2. Zur Halbzeit scheint es, dass weder SG (#3) noch LTT (#4) dem Tempo der Spitze folgen können. Wir müssen LTT im Auge behalten, denn derzeit schwächeln sie etwas. Was SG geschafft hat, könnte GPUUG (#5) auch erreichen, nämlich zu überholen.

CNT (#6) hält sich etwas dahinter noch bedeckt, hat sich dennoch von [H] (#7) lösen können und diese wiederum von der Ukraine (#8). Und auch hier haben wir einen Dreikampf um die Top-10-Platzierungen. Noch hat die Ukraine die Nase vorn, doch AF (#9) und NoTEAM (#10) wehren sich verbissen.

TC (#11) hat etwas abreißen lassen und sollte den Blick nach hinten wagen. Dort kommt SUSA (#12) näher. Die Amerikaner haben etwas durchgestartet und BOINC.Italy (#13) mitgezogen. Verloren haben dagegen RKN (#14), OCN (#15) und BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#16). Während RKN noch die Fühler nach Italien ausgestreckt haben, sind OCN und Australien im Infight zugange.

Auch die AMD Users (#17) waren die letzten Stunden gut unterwegs und haben Crunching@EVGA (#18) überholt. Und jetzt will dies auch noch MK (#19) genauso machen. Langsam kommen sie auf Touren und sind so dem Tabellenkeller vorläufig entkommen.

TFFE (#20) versucht noch, den Windschatten zu nutzen, oder wartet auf einen Heißlufteinbruch bei den Coolen. Dahinter hat sich LITOMYSL (#21) eingereiht und ist dabei, sich von Chinese Dream (#22) und BS (#23) zu lösen. UBT (#24) befindet sich dahinter zwischen Baum und Borke. Denn B^S (#25) und Russia (#26) sind nicht weiter entfernt als das Duo davor. Das Feld beschließt dann Crystal Dream auf #27.

Es ist angerichtet für die Finals. Morgen geht das Speerwerfen auf die Zielgerade und auch beim Jagdrennen sind die Positionen noch nicht bezogen. Und natürlich ist auch die Gesamtwertung weiter spannend.

• Kann LTT beim Jagdrennen zurückschlagen?

• Wer wird Vierter im Gesamtklassement?
