The Javelin Throw is home and dry. But there is still no relieve for the equipment, which has to fight the imminent heat death. The City Run is heading for the final stretch and the teams are intensively preparing for the start of the Sprint. A truly hot weekend awaits us.

Javelin Throw (SRBase: all subprojects except TF)
TAAT were victorious and left no doubt about that with their strong and steady throw. Behind that, LTT threw the javelin to the Silver rank and very cleverly only did what had to be done on the last day. Javelin Throw is part of the Pentathlon since 2019. And there is one team that won a medal every single time, but never the Golden one: SG won Bronze with three well-planned throws and is thus the only team to ever accomplish that. Congratulations to all teams on the podium.

#4 was the best P3D could do. It seems like it is going downhill for the Green Planet at Javelin Throw. Could that be a chance for CNT next year? The Czechs finish in #5 and by that prove once again, that they belong to the extended top group of teams.

NT can pop bottles, after reaching their best single result ever with #6. They already performed well with the javelin last year and could even top that this year. Ukraine, however, got their wings clipped with #7. They did better last year and this slip-up could cost them a medal in the overall standings.

[H] are probably content with #8, also because BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#9) could not use their opportunities. Their timing was off here. The Kangaroos still should not be too sad, since the upward trend of the last years is still intact.

LITOMYSL (#10) did not have to do anything yesterday, since GPUUG (#11) had not thrown far enough before. #10 is a great result for LITOMYSL and proves again, that you always have to count on them with the javelin.

MK barely made it to #12 and thus kept AF (#13) behind them. While the cool guys can be happy, AF should start to be concerned. EVGA (#14) behind them did not use the chance to pass the francophones and the cooling experts. Their last throw was too short for that.

It does not really run smoothly for RKN this year. #15 is the worst result in a single discipline since 2015 and should give them something to think about. BC on the other hand can be happy, because #16 is their best result since 2017. Their throws were very consistent. There could still be some potential with the right tactics.

Chinese Dream did enough to hold #17, just like AMD, who secured #18 with the last throw. BOINC.Italy (#19) were not able to do anything about this, due to their significantly worse relevant throw. The Italians did not tuck into this discipline this year. B^S (#20) brought the competition to a satisfactory end, whereas 2ch (#21) did not throw at all.

City Run in gravitys pull (Einstein@Home)
TAAT (#2) seem to slowly get into GPUUGs (#1) gravitational pull. And it seems clear that Gold and Silver will be awarded to these two teams. Behind them, Ukraine have the best chances to win Bronze, also because LTT are constantly losing ground.

It is only in #5 where we find SG, who can keep P3D away. BOINC@AUSTRALIA in #7 prove that they are still in a good shape. That does not come as a surprise, since they have always performed well on this track in the past.

CNT should not take #8 for granted, after AF have set course. However, they are in danger of running out of time. NT and [H] are running for #10 and are closing in on each other, which promises an exciting finish.

LITOMYSL in #12 ahead of EVGA, RKN, B^S, BOINC.Italy, and MK (#17) seem to have accepted their fate. So far, there are no signs of gravitational attraction between these teams.

2ch (#18) are coming under pressure. AMD are closing in and are already riding in their slipstream. Behind that, BC and Chinese Dream are basically dead level, although the Chinese can currently go at a higher pace. It remains to be seen if they can keep this up.

Marathon through the Milky Way (MilkyWay@home)
Let us have a quick glance at the long-distance track. Ukraines chances to win are getting bigger. Behind that, TAAT pushed onto #2 past P3D. But it seems to me that TAATs ambitions to attack Ukraine are limited. Thus, our hopes regarding an exciting finale are rather with P3D.

The fight for #7, which AF want to steal from GPUUG, is still close. Also the struggle for the top 10 between [H], BOINC@AUSTRALIA, and RKN is far from over. And behind them, BOINC.Italy and 2ch are wrestling for #12.

Das Speerwerfen haben die Teams nun in trockenen Tüchern. Dennoch gibt es keine Entspannung für die Technik, welche weiter gegen den drohenden Hitzetod ankämpfen muss. Beim Stadtlauf biegen wir auf die Zielgerade ein und beim Sprintstart bereiten sich die Teams gerade intensiv vor. Uns steht ein wahrhaft heißes Wochenende bevor.

Speerwerfen (SRBase: alle Subprojekte außer TF)
Der Sieg geht an TAAT, die mit stabilen und starken Würfen nichts anbrennen ließen. Dahinter wirft LTT den Speer auf Silber und hat sehr clever am letzten Tag nur das absolut Nötigste getan. Seit 2019 steht das Speerwerfen auf dem Programm des Pentathlon. Und es gibt ein Team, das jedes Mal eine Medaille erwerfen konnte, allerdings nie die goldene: SG hat mit drei gut geplanten Würfen Bronze erworfen und ist damit das einzige Team, das dies je geschafft hat. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an das Podium.

Mehr als #4 war für P3D auch in diesem Jahr nicht drin. Es scheint, dass der Grüne Planet beim Speerwerfen langsam abbaut. Könnte das die Chance für CNT im nächsten Jahr sein? Die Tschechen landen auf #5 und zeigen damit weiter, dass sie zur erweiterten Spitze gehören.

Die Sektkorken knallen lassen kann NT, die mit #6 ihr bestes Einzelergebnis ever eingefahren haben. Bereits letztes Jahr waren sie beim Speer super unterwegs, dieses Jahr konnten sie das noch toppen. Dagegen gab es für Ukraine einen Dämpfer, nur #7. Das ging letztes Jahr besser und dieser Ausrutscher könnte sie die Gesamtmedaille kosten.

Für [H] dürfte Platz 8 in Ordnung sein, auch weil BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#9) ihre Chance nicht nutzen konnten. Hier stimmte die zeitliche Planung nicht wirklich. Dennoch müssen die Kängurus nicht unzufrieden sein, der Aufwärtstrend zu den letzten Jahren ist weiter intakt.

LITOMYSL (#10) musste gestern nichts mehr tun, da GPUUG (#11) beim Wertungswurf nicht weit genug kam. Für LITOMYS ist Rang 10 ein hervorragendes Ergebnis und beweist wieder, dass mit ihnen gerade beim Speer immer zu rechnen ist.

Nur knapp haben es MK auf #12 geschafft und so AF (#13) hinter sich gelassen. Während die Coolen zufrieden sein können, sollte man sich bei AF langsam Gedanken machen. Dahinter hat EVGA (#14) die Chance nicht genutzt, um an den Frankophonen und Meisterkühlern vorbeizugehen. Dafür war der letzte Wurf zu kurz.

So richtig rund läuft es in diesem Jahr nicht bei RKN. Platz 15 ist die schlechteste Einzelplatzierung seit 2015 und sollte zu denken geben. Dagegen wird BC zufrieden sein, denn Platz 16 stellt das beste Ergebnis seit 2017 dar. Ihre Würfe waren sehr stabil. Da scheint mir mit richtiger Taktik noch Potenzial nach oben.

Chinese Dream tat genug, um #17 festzumachen, ebenso wie sich AMD im letzten Wurf noch #18 sicherten. Da konnte BOINC.Italy (#19) auf Grund des deutlich schlechteren Wertungswurfes nichts mehr machen. Den Italienern scheint diese Disziplin in diesem Jahr wirklich nicht geschmeckt zu haben. Dahinter brachte B^S den Wettbewerb auf #20 sauber zu Ende, wogegen 2ch (#21) ohne Wurf blieb.

Stadtlauf mit Anziehung (Einstein@Home)
Hier scheint GPUUG (#1) langsam TAAT (#2) anzuziehen und so dürfte inzwischen klar sein: Gold und Silber werden zwischen diesen beiden Teams verteilt. Ukraine hat dahinter die besten Chancen auf Bronze, auch weil LTT stetig an Boden verliert.

Erst auf #5 finden wir SG, die weiterhin P3D hinter sich halten können. Dass sie weiter gut in Form sind, bestätigen BOINC@AUSTRALIA auf #7. Das kommt nicht wirklich überraschend, da sie in der Vergangenheit auf dieser Strecke regelmäßig gut dabei waren.

CNT sollte #8 nicht als bereits eingefahren betrachten, denn AF hat Kurs genommen. Allerdings droht hier, die Zeit knapp zu werden. Um den letzten Platz in den Top 10 rennen NT und [H] und auch hier rücken beide langsam zusammen, was einen spannenden Zieleinlauf verspricht.

LITOMYSL (#12) und dahinter EVGA, RKN, B^S, BOINC.Italy und MK (#17) scheinen sich mit dem Schicksal abgefunden zu haben. Bisher gibt es keine Anzeichen dafür, dass zwischen diesen Teams Gravitationskräfte wirken.

2ch (#18) kommt derweil unter Druck. AMD rückt langsam näher ran und ist bereits im Windschatten. Dahinter liegen BC und Chinese Dream praktisch gleichauf, wobei die Chinesen gerade das höhere Tempo gehen können. Es bleibt abzuwarten, ob sie das durchhalten.

Marathon auf der Milchstraße (MilkyWay@home)
Ein kurzer Blick noch auf die Langstrecke. Hier wachsen die Chancen für den Sieg von Ukraine. Dahinter hat sich TAAT an P3D vorbei auf #2 geschoben. Es scheint mir aber, dass die Motivation von TAAT, Ukraine anzugreifen, eher begrenzt ist. Unsere Hoffnungen auf ein spannendes Finale liegen also eher bei P3D.

Knapp bleibt es weiter um #7, den gerne AF der GPUUG abnehmen will. Auch der Kampf um die Top 10 zwischen [H], BOINC@AUSTRALIA und RKN ist noch lange nicht gelaufen. Und dahinter rangeln BOINC.Italy und 2ch um #12.
