TAAT is putting some pressure on LTT and is by that showing that you cannot reach your goal in a sleeping car. This could become a thrilling fight in all disciplines.

Today I am taking a first look at the overall rankings, which of course still have to be taken with a grain of salt. Since the first attempt in the Javelin Throw is scheduled for Friday, the teams will need to manage their power wisely.

Steeplechase for numbers (PrimeGrid: only subproject SR5 Sieve)
LTT still holds the top rank, but behind them, P3D (#2) successfully sneaked past TAAT (#3) and profit from TAAT being more invested in the Marathon, at least for the time being.

Ukraine pushed onto #4 and thus passed SG. The Teutons should be alert, since CNT (#6) are lurking behind them, ready to jump. Behind them, MK passed BOINC.Italy and EVGA, and is keeping both at a comfortable distance. The friends of the pizza are moving at a brisk pace. We should keep an eye on them.

In #10 we find AF, who are benefitting from GPUUGs current weakness. BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#12), who made a huge progress in the last 24h, are also trying to use this. NT and LITOMYSL are successfully following the kangaroo but have to prick up their ears, since 2ch (#15) and RKN (#16) still have not been deathly wounded, yet. They stand ready, eyes focused on the target, just waiting for the right moment.

For [H], #17 seems to be the maximum and there is also not much danger from behind, except for maybe BC. This cannot be said for AMD and Chinese Dream.

Marathon through the Milky Way (MilkyWay@home)
Before I take a look at the overall standings, first let us check the long-distance run. A lot has happened, so it is worth it.

TAAT (#1) and LTT (#3) swapped places; and Ukraine in #2 is getting dizzy between them. Or could the end up as the ones who benefit? There is still some more milk to drink, so well see.

P3D is fighting grimly to not lose touch. But right now, they are missing the last bit. Let us not forget, however, that powers can easily shift during the course of the Marathon, so that might also be a chance for the Green Planet.

While SG can probably live with #5, CNT is still highly motivated and could thus supersede GPUUG. This could also be a chance for AF, but it seems as though they are lacking milk supply for an attack.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA and [H] could milk that, provided they are able to gain some more ground. Not much is missing. RKN and 2ch are being dragged along in the slipstream but do not seem too eager to close the gap. Both have to be careful to not letting the milk lake become too big.

MK are in #15 now after passing BOINC.Italy and NT. Chinese Dream (#20) and BC (#21) finally overcame their lactose intolerance and are now in track. AMD (#18) and B^S (#19) should watch out.

Overall Standings
TAAT and LTT are sharing the top rank, followed by Ukraine and P3D in #3. This quartet are putting their mark on these first days. Their current lead seems clear but this is just a snapshot.

SG, currently in #5, are definitely planning on getting on the next disciplines and CNT also make it clear again that they are committed to the task. GPUUG and AF can be found in #7, where the Francophones seem to have a better run.

While BOINC@AUSTRALIA in #9 are headed for the top 10, MK in #10 are making a positive appearance. EVGA an BOINC.Italy are close and are especially benefiting from the current result at the Steeplechase.

Our problem child is [H]. #13 is not expected. The next days will show of this is just tactics or a lack of performance. From the last years we are also used to better performances by RKN. But again: Let us wait and watch.

This might be the chance for 2ch (#15) and LITOMYSL (#16) to climb the ladder. But you have to have the will (and skill) to do that. NT in #17 also still has some potential. We know of their nuanced tactics in the last years. Will they get going during the Javelin Throw?

The lantern rouge quartet with AMD in #18 and BC in #19, B^S in #20, and Chinese Dream in #21 are only scraps apart from each other. We could await a funny lantern rouge carousel here.

That is what I call an exciting start.

TAAT semble vouloir démontrer qu'on n'arrive pas au sommet en voiture-couchette et met LTT sous pression. Cela pourrait évoluer en une bagarre palpitante - et dans toutes les disciplines.

Aujourd'hui, je regarderai pour la première fois le classement général qu'il faudra, naturellement, prendre avec prudence. Comme la première tentative de Lancer de Javelot interviendra vendredi, les équipes doivent répartir leurs forces judicieusement.

Steeple-chase - courir après les nombres (PrimeGrid: uniquement le sous-projet SR5 Sieve)
LTT continue à défendre sa première place dans la forêt des nombres, mais derrière, P3D (#2) a réussi à passer TAAT (#3) et profite, au moins pour le moment, du fait que TAAT semble davantage s'investir au Marathon.

L'Ukraine s'est hissée à la 4e place et a ainsi dépassé SG. Les Teutons devraient rester sur leurs gardes, car CNT (#6) est également aux aguets et est prête à bondir à tout moment. Derrière, MK a doublé BOINC.Italy et EVGA et s'est constitué une jolie avance. Les amis de la pizza avancent actuellement à vive allure - nous devrions garder un il sur eux.

Derrière, au rang 10, nous retrouvons l'AF qui profite de l'actuelle faiblesse de GPUUG. BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#12), qui s'est considérablement améliorée au cours des 24 dernières heures, aimerait également la mettre à profit. NT et LITOMYSL suivent le kangourou avec succès, mais elles devraient aussi dresser l'oreille, car 2ch (#15) et RKN (#16) sont loin d'être touchées mortellement. Elles sont prêtes, les yeux rivés sur l'arrivée, elles attendent juste le bon moment.

Pour [H], la 17e place semble être le maximum; peu de danger guette à l'arrière. Par contre, BC pourrait encore s'avérer menaçante. Ce qui ne semble pas visible chez AMD et Chinese Dream pour l'instant.

Marathon sur la Voie Lactée (MilkyWay@home)
Avant de regarder vraiment le classement général, un petit coup d'il à la piste longue. Il en vaut la peine, car il s'est passé pas mal de choses.

Échange de place entre TAAT (#1) et LTT (#3); l'Ukraine, au rang 2, en a la tête qui tourne. À moins qu'elle soit celle qui rira en dernier? Nous verrons bien, en tout cas, le dernier verre de lait n'est pas encore bu ici.

P3D se bat encore bec et ongles pour ne pas perdre le contact. Mais pour l'instant, il manque encore le dernier petit chouïa. N'oublions pas qu'au cours du Marathon, certaines forces sont volontiers déplacées, ce qui pourrait tout à fait représenter une opportunité pour la Planète Verte.

Tandis que SG semble se satisfaire de la 5e place, CNT, derrière, est encore pleinement motivée et a réussi à détrôner GPUUG. Ce serait également une opportunité pour l'AF, mais on dirait qu'il n'y a pas assez de réserves de lait pour pouvoir attaquer.

C'est une situation dont pourraient profiter BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#9) et [H], à condition d'accélérer encore un peu. Il ne manque pas grand-chose. RKN et 2ch se laissent porter sous le vent, mais ne semblent pas avoir envie de réduire l'écart. Toutes deux doivent faire attention à ce que la flaque de lait ne se transforme pas en lac.

MK s'est hissée au rang 15 et a ainsi doublé BOINC.Italy et NT. Chinese Dream (#20) et BC (#21) ont enfin surmonté leur intolérance au lactose et se sont lancé sur la piste. AMD (#18) et B^S (#19) devraient donc faire attention.

Classement général
TAAT et LTT partagent actuellement la 1re place, suivies par l'Ukraine et P3D au rang 3. Ce quatuor marque de son sceau les premiers jours. L'avance actuelle devant le reste du peloton semble énorme, mais ce n'est qu'un instantané.

SG, actuellement 5e, a sûrement des projets pour les prochaines disciplines et CNT montre une fois de plus qu'elle est pleinement engagée. À la 7e place, nous trouvons actuellement GPUUG et l'AF, sachant que les Francophones semblent mieux avancer pour l'heure.

Alors que BOINC@AUSTRALIA se trouve à la 9e place et vise clairement le top 10, les MK au rang 10 sont vraiment une vision positive. EVGA et BOINC.Italy, derrière, sont toutes proches, mais elles profitent particulièrement du classement intermédiaire au Steeple-chase.

Celle qui nous fait faire du souci, c'est [H]: en effet, la 13e place est inhabituelle. Nous verrons dans les prochains jours si cela fait partie d'une tactique ou si c'est une baisse de forme. RKN nous avait également habitué à de meilleures performances ces dernières années. Là aussi, il s'agit d'attendre et d'observer.

Cela pourrait être une opportunité pour 2ch (#15) et LITOMYSL (#16) de grimper dans le classement. Il faut savoir (et vouloir) saisir sa chance. NT, au rang 17, a également du potentiel, mais nous nous souvenons de leur stratégie différenciée des dernières années. Peut-être qu'elle décollera au Lancer de Javelot?

Le quatuor de lanternes rouges - AMD au rang 18, BC au rang 19, B^S au rang 20 et Chinese Dream au rang 21 - n'est séparé que par quelques miettes. On pourrait assister à un amusant jeu de lanternes musicales.

Voilà ce que j'appelle un démarrage diversifié.

• LTT pourra-t-elle riposter au Marathon?
• Quand SG se réveillera-t-elle?
• P3D n'aura-t-elle que la médaille en chocolat au Marathon?

Dass es nicht im Schlafwagen an die Spitze geht, will wohl gerade TAAT demonstrieren und setzt LTT unter Druck. Hier könnte sich ein spannender Fight entwickeln, und zwar in allen Disziplinen.

Heute schaue ich das erste Mal auf die Gesamtwertung, die naturgemäß noch mit Vorsicht genossen werden sollte. Da das Speerwerfen am Freitag mit dem ersten Versuch ansteht, sind die Teams gefordert, ihre Kräfte klug einzuteilen.

Jagdrennen auf Zahlen (PrimeGrid: nur das Subprojekt SR5 Sieve)
LTT behauptet weiter die Spitze im Zahlenwald, aber dahinter hat sich P3D (#2) erfolgreich an TAAT (#3) vorbeigepirscht und profitiert zumindest vorläufig davon, dass TAAT wohl beim Marathon stärker investiert ist.

Auf #4 und damit an SG vorbei hat sich die Ukraine geschoben. Die Teutonen sollten hellhörig sein, denn auch CNT (#6) liegt auf der Lauer und ist bereit, jederzeit zum Sprung anzusetzen. Dahinter hat sich MK an BOINC.Italy und EVGA vorbeigeschoben und sich ein weiches Polster geschaffen. Die Freunde der Pizza haben dabei derzeit ein flottes Tempo drauf, da sollten wir ein Auge darauf haben.

Dahinter auf #10 finden wir AF, die von der aktuellen Schwäche bei GPUUG profitieren. Diese ausnutzen möchte auch BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#12), die sich in den letzten 24h massiv verbessern konnten. NT und LITOMYSL folgen dem Känguru erfolgreich, sollten aber genauso die Ohren spitzen, denn 2ch (#15) und RKN (#16) sind noch lange nicht tödlich getroffen. Sie stehen bereit, das Ziel fest im Blick, nur wartend auf den richtigen Augenblick.

Für [H] ist #17 wohl das Maximum, von hinten droht bisher auch wenig Gefahr. BC dahinter könnte aber noch zur Gefahr werden. Bei AMD und Chinese Dream ist das derzeit nicht zu erkennen.

Marathon auf der Milchstraße (MilkyWay@home)
Bevor ich das erste Mal wirklich auf die Gesamtwertung schaue, noch der Blick auf die lange Strecke. Denn das lohnt sich, hat sich doch einiges getan.

Platztausch zwischen TAAT (#1) und LTT (#3); da wird der Ukraine auf #2 ganz schwindlig. Oder könnte sie am Ende der lachende Dritte sein? Wir werden sehen, noch ist hier die letzte Milch nicht getrunken.

P3D kämpft noch verbissen, um den Anschluss nicht zu verlieren. Derzeit fehlt aber das letzte Quäntchen. Vergessen wir aber nicht, dass im Verlaufe des Marathons Kräfte gerne verlagert werden und das könnte durchaus auch eine Chance für den Grünen Planeten darstellen.

Während SG mit #5 wohl ganz gut leben kann, ist CNT dahinter noch voll motiviert und hat so GPUUG verdrängen können. Das wäre auch eine Chance für AF, aber da scheint nicht genug Milchnachschub vorhanden zu sein, um angreifen zu können.

Und das könnten BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#9) und [H] für sich ausnutzen, vorausgesetzt, sie legen noch etwas zu. Viel fehlt aber derzeit nicht. RKN und 2ch lassen sich im Windschatten mitziehen, scheinen derzeit aber keine Lust zu haben, die Lücke zu verkleinern. Beide müssen aufpassen, dass daraus nicht ein etwas größerer Milchsee wird.

Auf #15 geschoben hat sich MK und so BOINC.Italy und NT überholt. Ihre Laktoseintoleranz haben endlich Chinese Dream (#20) und BC (#21) überwunden und sind auf die Strecke gegangen. AMD (#18) und B^S (#19) sollten also aufpassen.

Gesamtwertung
TAAT und LTT teilen sich aktuell Rang 1, gefolgt von Ukraine und P3D auf #3. Dieses Quartett drückt den ersten Tagen seinen Stempel auf. Der aktuelle Vorsprung vor dem Rest des Feldes erscheint deutlich, aber das ist nur eine Momentaufnahme.

SG, derzeit auf #5, hat sich sicher noch was vorgenommen bei den nächsten Disziplinen und CNT macht auch wieder deutlich, voll bei der Sache zu sein. Auf #7 sind derzeit GPUUG und AF zu finden, wobei die Francophonen derzeit wohl den besseren Lauf haben.

Während BOINC@AUSTRALIA auf #9 steht und damit die Top 10 anvisiert, sind MK auf #10 schon eine positive Erscheinung. EVGA und BOINC.Italy dahinter sind nah dran, profitieren aber gerade besonders vom Zwischenstand bei der Jagd.

Unser Sorgenkind ist derzeit [H], denn #13 ist ungewohnt. Wir werden in den nächsten Tagen sehen, ob das Taktik oder Formschwäche ist. Auch von RKN sind wir die letzten Jahre bessere Leistungen gewohnt, auch hier gilt: abwarten und beobachten.

Dies könnte die Chance für 2ch (#15) und LITOMYSL (#16) sein, in der Rangliste nach oben zu klettern. Man muss eben auch zugreifen wollen (und können). NT auf #17 hat auch noch Potenzial, wir wissen aber von der differenzierten Strategie in den letzten Jahren. Vielleicht kommt der Durchstarter beim Speerwerfen?

Das Laternenquartett mit AMD auf #18, BC auf #19, B^S auf #20 und Chinese Dream auf #21 trennt nur ein paar Krümelchen. Auch da könnte ein lustiges rote-Laterne-wechsel-dich entstehen.

Das nenne ich doch mal einen abwechslungsreichen Start.

• Bleibt für P3D nur Blech beim Marathon?
