Day 3 07 May 2026 #rootvegetables​

The first two days are behind our brave contestants. They are churning through the tides of the Milky Way and through the thick forest of numbers, where many a treacherous root is hidden. And if that were not enough, the first day of Javelin Throw is already casting its shadow.

In the forest of numbers, the situation at the top and at the bottom has calmed down. The agitated screaming of the spectators made way for curious calm. LTT is little by little extending their lead in front of P3D. TAAT is holding #3 but is losing ground and could fall pray to Ukraine, who lie waiting in #4.

Meanwhile, SG is securing #5, but also has not lost contact to Ukraine. CNT in #6 are on their way all alone. They pursuers BOINC@AUSTRALIA in #7, and BOINC.Italy and MK in #9 are positioned close to each other but are showing different firing accuracies. The trio could break up into three lonesome riders by tomorrow.

NT finally shows some mobility and is in place #10 now close to their usual ranking. AF is looking grumpily and is chafing at the bit, but I am not sure, if that is Napoleon or Vercingetorix. EVGA and GPUUG had to let NT pass and are not able to follow.

[H] (#14) and RKN (#15) are finally gaining some ground, but a disillusioning impression remains. But at least LITOMYSL and 2ch had to abandon all hope to be able to attack.

Marathon through the Milky Way (MilkyWay@home)
TAAT (#1) and Ukraine manage to break away from the pack, much to P3Ds and, above all, LTTs regret. These two are now in #4, after the Green Planet did not wait and passed. LTT is thus losing important points in the overall standings, and it remains to be seen, if they are already satisfied with what they have achieved.

At least, the lead in front of SG (#5) is large enough to be able to control it. Behind that, CNT and GPUUG also have taken position and are controlling their race. AF in #8 have to be very careful, since BOINC@AUSTRALIA is in striking distance.

[H] find themselves in #10. They also seem to be focussing on securing their place, while RKN is close by. In #12, 2ch is living off of their stock from the last two days, and NT has thus still a realistic chance to win ground and to continue their advance. LITOMYSL, BOINC.Italy, EVGA, and MK are fighting for #14. The Italians seem to handle this best at the moment.

While AMD secured #18, Chinese Dream passed B^S and sprinted to #19. At the end shines BCs lantern rouge.

Overall Standings
Today is the day where we actually have clear overall standing. This will all go haywire with tomorrows Javelin Throw, since the teams can skip up to two attempts.

TAAT could take the lead due to LTTs weakness during the Marathon. And not only that. LTT has to share #2 with P3D. This results in Ukraine falling off the podium.

Behind that, everything stays as is. SG ahead of CNT and BOINC@AUSTRALIA, while the Australians were able to strengthen their lead compared to AF (#8) and GPUUG. Winners of the day are BOINC.Italy (#10), NT, and [H], who could all win some ground.

When it goes up for some, it has to go down for others. This holds for MK (#13), RKN (#14), and 2ch (#15). In between, EVGA seems to be unfazed by the turmoil.

Nearly no changes behind that: LITOMYSL (#17), AMD (#18), BC (#19), B^S and Chinese Dream (now both in #20).

How will it go on?

• What strategy will LTT choose for the Marathon?
• Can NT up the ante in the Marathon?
• Can BOINC.Italy show that they are in great shape also during the Javelin Throw?

Jour 3 07/05/2026 #légumesracine​

Les courageux participants ont passé les deux premiers jours. Ils se frayent un chemin à travers les flots tumultueux de la Voie Lactée et la dense forêt de nombres, où se cachent bien des racines traîtresses. Et comme si cela ne suffisait pas, la première tentative de Lancer de Javelot se profile déjà à l'horizon.

Dans la forêt des nombres, la situation en début et en fin de peloton s'est calmée. Les cris excités ont fait place au silence des observateurs curieux. En attendant, LTT continue à accroître lentement mais sûrement son avance sur P3D. TAAT se maintient à la 3e place, mais perd du terrain et pourrait ainsi devenir une proie de choix pour l'Ukraine qui est aux aguets à la 4e place.

Pendant ce temps, SG continue à sécuriser la 5e place, mais elle n'est pas non plus définitivement détachée de l'Ukraine. CNT, au rang 6, se balade bien seule en ce moment. Les poursuivantes autour de BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#7), BOINC.Italy et MK (#9) sont à peu près positionnées pareil, mais progressent avec une précision de tir variable. Demain, ce trio pourrait s'être transformé en trois chasseurs isolés.

NT s'est enfin mobilisée! Avec sa 10e place, elle s'est rapprochée de ses classements habituels. L'AF a déjà l'air maussade et gratte vigoureusement le sol, mais je ne sais pas s'il s'agit de Napoléon ou de Vercingétorix. EVGA et GPUUG ont également dû laisser passer NT, mais elles ne sont pas en capacité de suivre.

Les choses avancent un peu pour [H] (#14) et RKN (#15), il n'en reste pas moins que l'impression laissée jusqu'à présent est plutôt décevante. Au moins, elles ont anéanti tout espoir de LITOMYSL et 2ch de pouvoir attaquer vers l'avant.

Marathon sur la Voie Lactée (MilkyWay@home)
TAAT (#1) et l'Ukraine réussissent à se détacher du peloton, au grand dam de P3D et surtout de LTT. En effet, cette dernière se retrouve maintenant à la 4e place, car la Planète Verte n'a pas hésité à lui passer devant. LTT perd ainsi d'importants points pour le classement général, et il reste à voir si elle se satisfera de ce qu'elle a atteint.

Au moins, l'avance sur SG (#5) est assez grande pour pouvoir la gérer. CNT et GPUUG, derrière, ont également pris leurs positions et contrôlent leur course. Pour l'AF, au rang 8, il s'agit de rester extrêmement vigilante, car BOINC@AUSTRALIA n'est qu'à quelques foulées.

Au rang 10, nous retrouvons actuellement [H]. Ici aussi, il semble qu'il faille consolider sa position, sachant que RKN n'est qu'à quelques pas. À la 12e place, 2ch vit encore sur ses réserves accumulées au cours des deux derniers jours. NT dispose donc d'une option réaliste pour aller plus loin et poursuivre sa progression. Pour l'heure, LITOMYSL, BOINC.Italy, EVGA et MK luttent pour la 14e place. On dirait que les Italiens ont actuellement les meilleures chances.

Tandis qu'AMD sécurise la 18e place, Chinese Dream a progressé au rang 19 et doublé B^S. La lanterne rouge brille finalement chez BC.

Classement général
Aujourd'hui est le dernier jour où le classement sera clair jusqu'à nouvel ordre. Le Lancer de Javelot de demain mettra tout sens dessus-dessous, car les équipes peuvent faire l'impasse sur jusqu'à 2 lancers.

Grâce à la faiblesse de LTT au Marathon, TAAT a pris seule la tête de la course. Et il n'y a pas que ça: LTT doit partager la 2e place avec P3D, ce qui fait que l'Ukraine est tombée du podium.

Les choses sont inchangées derrière: SG devant CNT et BOINC@AUSTRALIA, sachant que les Australiens ont pu augmenter leur avance de points sur l'AF (#8) et GPUUG. Les gagnants du jour sont BOINC.Italy (#10), NT et [H], qui ont pu se frayer un chemin vers le sommet.

Si certaines progressent, d'autres doivent forcément descendre dans le classement. C'est ce qui arrive aux MK (#13), à RKN (#14) et à 2ch (#16). Au milieu de celles-ci, EVGA ne se laisse pas impressionner par tout ce tohu-bohu.

Presque pas de changement derrière: LITOMYSL (#17), AMD (#18), BS (#19), B^S et Chinese Dream (désormais toutes deux au rang 20).

Comment les choses vont-elles évoluer?

• Quelle stratégie LTT choisira-t-elle au Marathon?
• NT pourra-t-elle en rajouter une couche au Marathon?
• BOINC.Italy pourra-t-elle montrer son excellente forme aussi au Lancer de Javelot?

Tag 3 07.05.2026 #wurzelgemüse​

Die ersten beiden Tage liegen hinter den wackeren Teilnehmern. Sie kämpfen sich durch die wogenden Fluten der Milchstraße und durch den dichten Zahlenwald, wo so manch tückische Wurzel lauert. Und als ob das noch nicht genug ist, wirft nun der erste Versuch beim Speerwerfen seine Schatten voraus.

Jagdrennen auf Zahlen (PrimeGrid: nur das Subprojekt SR5 Sieve)
Im Zahlenwald hat sich die Lage am Anfang und am Ende des Felds beruhigt. Das aufgeregte Kreischen der Beobachter ist der neugierigen Ruhe gewichen. LTT baut derweil langsam aber stetig die Führung auf P3D aus. TAAT hält #3, verliert aber an Boden und könnte so noch zur fetten Beute für die Ukraine werden, die auf #4 auf der Lauer liegt.

SG sichert derweil weiter #5 ab, ist aber auch noch nicht endgültig von der Ukraine getrennt. CNT auf #6 ist derzeit recht einsam unterwegs. Die Verfolger um BOINC@AUSTRALIA auf #7, BOINC.Italy (#8) und MK (#9) sind ähnlich positioniert, aber derzeit mit unterschiedlicher Treffergenauigkeit unterwegs. Morgen könnten aus diesem Trio drei Einzeljäger geworden sein.

Endlich mobil ist NT geworden, mit #10 ist man gewohnten Platzierungen näher gekommen. AF schaut schon ganz mürrisch und scharrt ganz heftig, ich bin aber nicht sicher, ob das Napoleon oder Vercingetorix ist. EVGA und GPUUG mussten NT ebenfalls vorbeilassen, sind aber nicht in der Lage zu folgen.

Etwas voran geht es für [H] (#14) und RKN (#15), dennoch bleibt ein bisher eher ernüchternder Eindruck. Aber zumindest hat man LITOMYSL und 2ch alle Hoffnungen genommen, nach vorne angreifen zu können.

Marathon auf der Milchstraße (MilkyWay@home)
TAAT (#1) und Ukraine gelingt es, sich vom Feld zu lösen, sehr zum Leidwesen von P3D und vor allem LTT. Denn diese finden sich nun auf #4 wieder, da der Grüne Planet nicht lange gefackelt hat und vorbeigegangen ist. Für LTT fallen so wichtige Punkte für die Gesamtwertung aus und es bleibt abzuwarten, ob man sich dort mit dem Erreichten zufriedengibt.

Der Vorsprung auf SG (#5) ist zumindest groß genug, um ihn kontrollieren zu können. CNT und GPUUG dahinter haben ebenfalls ihre Position bezogen und kontrollieren ihr Rennen. Für AF auf #8 gilt weiter höchste Aufmerksamkeit, denn BOINC@AUSTRALIA ist in Schlagdistanz.

Auf #10 findet sich derzeit [H]. Auch hier scheint Absichern der Position angesagt, wobei RKN nur wenig dahinter ist. Auf #12 lebt 2ch noch vom Vorrat der letzten beiden Tage und so besteht für NT noch eine realistische Option, weiter nach vorne zu kommen und den Vormarsch fortzusetzen. Um #14 wetteifern aktuell LITOMYSL, BOINC.Italy, EVGA und MK. Am besten scheinen aktuell die Italiener aufgestellt zu sein.

Während AMD #18 sichert, hat sich Chinese Dream auf #19 gelaufen, vorbei an B^S. Am Ende leuchtet die rote Laterne bei BC.

Gesamtwertung
Heute ist der Tag, an dem wir bis auf Weiteres ein klares Klassement haben. Mit dem Speerwerfen morgen wird es hier drunter und drüber gehen, da die Teams bis zu zwei Würfe auslassen können.

TAAT hat durch die Schwäche von LTT beim Marathon die alleinige Spitze übernommen. Und nicht nur das. LTT muss sich #2 auch mit P3D teilen. Dies hat zur Folge, dass die Ukraine vom Podium gefallen ist.

Unverändert geht es dahinter weiter, SG vor CNT und BOINC@AUSTRALIA, wobei die Australier ihr Punktepolster auf AF (#8) und GPUUG ausbauen konnten. Gewinner des Tages sind BOINC.Italy (#10), NT (#11) und [H] (#12), die sich nach vorne arbeiten konnten.

Wenn es für einige nach oben geht, muss es für andere nach unten gehen. Und so trifft es MK (#13), RKN (#14) und 2ch (#16). Dazwischen lässt sich EVGA nicht durch den Trubel beeindrucken.

Fast keine Änderung dahinter: LITOMYSL (#17), AMD (#18), BC (#19), B^S und Chinese Dream (jetzt beide #20).

Wie es wohl weitergeht?

• Welche Strategie wählt LTT beim Marathon?
• Kann NT beim Marathon nachlegen?
• Kann BOINC.Italy seine tolle Form auch beim Speerwerfen zeigen?
