Day 6 10 May 2026 #nobreak​

There is no time to catch a breath, because with the Javelin Throw, after the throw is before the throw. And while the Marathon is calming down a bit, the crucial hours of the Steeplechase are approaching. And additionally, the City Run is close, where we can study the effects of gravity. So, boredom is something that no contestant or spectator can complain about.

Javelin Throw (SRBase: all subprojects except TF)
Two attempts are done and tomorrow it will definitely get serious. Then all the teams really have to put their cards on the table and show what they are able to do.

It is interesting that BOINC@AUSTRALIA had a really good attempt and could improve significantly. If they can confirm that, they can reach for the top 10. That is more difficult for AF, at least in case they cannot ramp up their game tomorrow.

LTT on the other hand put all their strength in yesterdays throw and, thus, marked their territory. Their main competitor TAAT seem to be betting on the last three throws, so tomorrow we will be able to judge what LTTs throw was actually worth.

Last year, SG could just prevail against P3D and yesterdays throw seems to confirm this pattern. It remains to be seen what EVGA are able to achieve. Their improvement yesterday is clearly visible, but if that has been a fluke or strategy, is still hidden in the fog of the future.

BC could not improve yesterday, in contrast to CNT and RKN. The Czechs showed their potential again, but are still behind SG and P3D. The Rechenkrafties could improve, but stay behind GPUUG, who seem to have skipped yesterday.

While BOINC.Italy and B^S are hard to assess, it is clear that MK paused yesterday. I expect more from them tomorrow. LITOMYSL and [H] delivered yesterday, but both still could not match the Australians best throw. A duel between the Australians and [H] seems possible, though.

Ukraine skipped yesterday and has to deliver tomorrow. Otherwise it will go downhill in the overall standings. So, they are still the big unknown. NT, AMD and B^S do not lift a finger, whereas Chinese Dream decided to throw and by that threw down the gauntlet to BOINC.Italy and B^S.

Marathon through the Milky Way (MilkyWay@home)
Just a short look at the long-distance track, since everything calmed down here. The top 6 seem to have settled on their places. Ukraine ahead of TAAT and P3D, followed by LTT, SG, and CNT. So far, it is not noticeable that anyone in this sextet is switching to attack mode.

Behind them,, AF (#8) seem to be chafing at the bit and focusing on GPUUG (7). The francophones are catching up and are slowly pecking away the deficit. BOINC@AUSTRALIA also are not out of the picture regarding #7, however, they have to improve for that.

You, dear readers, should fix your eyes on the fight for #14. EVGA currently has the momentum, but NT, LITOMYSL, and MK are in their slipstream and still have all the possibilities.

Steeplechase in the forest of numbers (PrimeGrid: only subproject SR5 Sieve)
The grand finale in the forest of numbers is coming close. For this the teams can hunt a good starting position today. TAAT are currently using this chance best and are increasing their lead, thus, trying to rob LTT of their hopes. For P3D it is only about securing #3 and letting no one get near their own yard.

This could prove a challenge, because Ukraine is sneakily looking at the fruits on the Green Planet. Will they start an attack during todays bonus day? For SG and CNT, its more about a controlled end to their hunt. They can afford that, since BOINC@AUSTRALIA and [H] are more fighting each other than looking ahead.

We have exciting duels behind that. BOINC.Italy and NT will search for a decision over #9, AF and RKN over #11, and LITOMYSL and MK over #13. It is also possible, that, by actively using the bonus day, some couple might break up and form a ménage-à-trois. But for that, some growth is needed.

Behind that, no one seems to be looking for that kind of trouble, since GPUUG, EVGA, and 2ch are showing no signs of acceleration. It will get interesting between BC and Chinese Dream, regarding #18, however. The Dreamers are getting closer and closer and could pass on the final day. AMD and B^S are probably not interested in getting hectic.

Jour 6 10/05/2026 #pasdecalme​

Pas le temps pour reprendre son souffle: au Lancer de Javelot, la fin d'un lancer annonce déjà le suivant. Et même si un peu de calme est revenu au Marathon, les heures décisives approchent au Steeple-chase. Et, en plus, la Course Urbaine est à nos portes; nous pourrons y étudier les effets de la gravitation. Aucun participant, ni aucun observateur ne pourra donc se plaindre de s'ennuyer.

Lancer de Javelot (SRBase: tous les sous-projets sauf TF)
Deux tentatives sont passées et demain les choses deviendront réellement sérieuses. Toutes les équipes devront alors annoncer la couleur et montrer de quoi elles sont capables.

Il est intéressant de voir que BOINC@AUSTRALIA a fait un très bon lancer et s'est nettement améliorée. Si elle arrive à le confirmer, une place dans le top 10 est à portée de main. Pour l'AF, ce sera plus difficile, tout du moins si elle n'arrive pas à s'améliorer demain.

En revanche, LTT a mis toute sa puissance dans le lancer d'hier et a déjà marqué son territoire. Entre temps, son principal concurrent, TAAT, semble tout miser sur les trois derniers lancers. Nous verrons donc demain ce que vaut réellement le lancer de LTT.

L'an dernier, SG a pu s'imposer de justesse devant P3D et le lancer d'hier semble confirmer ce schéma. Reste à voir ce que réussira à faire EVGA. L'amélioration d'hier est visible, mais accident ou stratégie, seul l'avenir nous le dira.

BC n'a pas réussi à s'améliorer hier, ce qu'ont fait CNT et RKN en revanche. Les Tchèques montrent à nouveau leur potentiel, mais restent tout de même derrière SG et P3D. Les gars et les filles de Rechenkraft se sont certes améliorés, mais restent derrière GPUUG, qui semble avoir fait l'impasse hier.

Tandis que BOINC.Italy et B^S sont encore difficiles à évaluer, il est clair que MK ont fait une pause hier. Je m'attends à plus demain. LITOMYSL et [H] ont bien lancé hier, sachant qu'aucune des deux n'arrive au niveau du meilleur lancer des Australiens. Toutefois, un duel entre les Australiens et [H] semble encore possible.

L'Ukraine a zappé hier et doit fournir un bon résultat demain, sinon elle descendra au classement général. Elle est encore une grande inconnue. NT, AMD et 2ch continuent à ne pas bouger le petit doigt, alors que Chinese Dream a enfin décidé de lancer, jetant ainsi le gant à BOINC.Italy et B^S.

Marathon sur la Voie Lactée (MilkyWay@home)
Juste un bref coup d'il sur la piste longue, car les choses se sont calmées un peu. Le top 6 semble s'être confortablement installé sur ses places: l'Ukraine devant TAAT et P3D, suivies par LTT, SG et CNT. Pour l'instant, rien n'indique que ce sextuor passe à l'attaque.

Derrière, l'AF (#8) semble griffer le sol en fixant fermement GPUUG (#7). Les Francophones remontent lentement et grignotent petit à petit leur retard. BOINC@AUSTRALIA n'est pas non plus hors course pour la 7e place, mais il lui faudra encore une progression.

Vous, chères lectrices et chers lecteurs, devriez aussi diriger votre regard sur la quadrangulaire pour la 14e place. Certes, EVGA tient actuellement le haut du pavé, mais NT, LITOMYSL et MK avancent encore sous le vent et ont encore toutes leurs chances.

Steeple-chase dans la forêt des nombres (PrimeGrid: uniquement le sous-projet SR5 Sieve)
Le grand finale dans la forêt des nombres approche. Pour ça, les équipes peuvent aller chercher une bonne base de départ. Actuellement, TAAT profite le mieux de cette opportunité, augmente son avance et tente ainsi d'enlever tout espoir à LTT. Pour P3D, il s'agit juste de sécuriser la 3e place et de ne plus laisser approcher qui que ce soit de ses vertes prairies.

Cela pourrait s'avérer être un défi, car l'Ukraine lorgne sur les fruits de la Planète Verte. Y aura-t-il une attaque en cette journée bonus? Pour SG et CNT, il s'agirait plutôt de contrôler la fin de la chasse. Elles peuvent se le permettre, car BOINC@AUSTRALIA et [H] sont en train de se fritter au lieu de regarder vers l'avant.

Derrière, nous trouvons d'autres duels passionnants: BOINC.Italy et NT vont chercher le dénouement pour la 9e place, l'AF et RKN pour la 11e et MK et LITOMYSL pour la 13e. Il est également possible qu'en profitant pleinement de la journée bonus, la vie à deux se fissure par endroits et que des relations à trois se développent. Mais pour ça, il faudrait des progressions.

Les équipes derrière ne semblent pas vouloir subir ce stress. En effet, ni GPUUG, ni EVGA, ni 2ch ne montrent le moindre soupçon d'accélération. En revanche, les choses deviennent intéressantes entre BC et Chinese Dream dans la quête de la 18e place. Les Rêveurs approchent continuellement et pourraient encore doubler le dernier jour. AMD et B^S n'ont pas l'air de vouloir se mêler à l'effervescence.

Es gibt keine Zeit zum Verschnaufen, denn beim Speerwerfen ist nach dem Wurf gleich wieder vor dem Wurf. Und auch wenn beim Marathon etwas Ruhe eingekehrt ist, so nähern sich beim Jagdrennen die Stunden der Entscheidung. Und dazu steht der Stadtlauf vor der Tür, wo wir die Auswirkungen der Gravitation erforschen können. Langeweile ist also etwas, worüber sich kein Teilnehmer oder Beobachter beschweren kann.

Speerwerfen (SRBase: alle Subprojekte außer TF)
Zwei Versuche sind geschafft und morgen wird es dann endgültig ernst. Dann müssen wirklich alle Teams die Hosen runterlassen und zeigen, was in ihnen steckt.

Interessant, dass BOINC@AUSTRALIA einen sehr guten Versuch hingelegt hat und sich deutlich gesteigert hat. Wenn sie das noch bestätigen können, ist ein Platz in den Top 10 greifbar. Für AF wird dies schwieriger, zumindest, wenn sie morgen keine Steigerung hinbekommen.

LTT hat dagegen alle Kraft in den gestrigen Wurf gelegt und damit schon mal das Revier markiert. Hauptkonkurrent TAAT scheint derweil alles auf die letzten drei Würfe zu setzen, wir werden also morgen einschätzen können, was der Wurf von LTT wirklich wert ist.

Letztes Jahr konnte sich SG knapp vor P3D behaupten und der gestrige Wurf scheint dieses Muster zu bestätigen. Abzuwarten bleibt, was EVGA hinbekommt. Die Steigerung von gestern ist sichtbar, aber ob Ausrutscher oder Strategie, bleibt noch im Nebel der Zukunft verborgen.

BC hat sich gestern nicht steigern können, was aber CNT und RKN gemacht haben. Die Tschechen zeigen wieder ihr Potenzial, bleiben aber hinter SG und P3D zurück. Die Rechenkraftler haben sich zwar gesteigert, liegen damit aber hinter GPUUG, die gestern wohl ausgelassen haben.

Während BOINC.Italy und B^S noch schwer einzuschätzen sind, ist klar, dass MK gestern pausiert haben. Hier erwarte ich morgen wieder mehr. LITOMYSL und [H] haben gestern abgeliefert, wobei beide nicht an die Bestweite der Australier rankommen. Ein Duell zwischen den Australiern und [H] scheint aber möglich.

Ausgelassen hat die Ukraine und muss morgen liefern, ansonsten wird es in der Gesamtwertung nach hinten gehen. Sie sind also noch eine große Unbekannte. NT, AMD und 2ch machen weiter keinen Finger krumm, wogegen sich Chinese Dream doch zu einem Wurf entschlossen hat und somit BOINC.Italy und B^S den Fehdehandschuh hingeworfen hat.

Marathon auf der Milchstraße (MilkyWay@home)
Nur ein kurzer Blick auf die Langstrecke, denn hier ist etwas Ruhe eingekehrt. Die Top 6 haben sich hier wohl auf ihren Plätzen eingerichtet: Ukraine vor TAAT und P3D, gefolgt von LTT, SG und CNT. Bisher ist nicht erkennbar, dass in diesem Sextett auf Angriff umgeschaltet wird.

Dahinter scheint AF (#8) mit den Krallen zu scharren und GPUUG (#7) fest im Blick zu haben. Die Frankophonen holen langsam auf und picken stückweise den Rückstand weg. Auch BOINC@AUSTRALIA ist noch nicht aus dem Rennen um #7, wofür aber auch eine Steigerung nötig ist.

Den Blick richten sollten Sie, werte Leser, auch auf den Vierkampf um #14. EVGA hat zwar hier gerade das Momentum inne, doch NT, LITOMYSL und MK sind noch im Windschatten unterwegs und haben noch alle Chancen.

Jagdrennen im Zahlenwald (PrimeGrid: nur das Subprojekt SR5 Sieve)
Das große Finale im Zahlenwald rückt näher. Dafür können die Teams sich heute eine gute Ausgangsbasis erjagen. Aktuell nutzt TAAT diese Chance am besten, baut den Vorsprung aus und versucht damit, LTT die Hoffnung zu nehmen. Für P3D geht es nur noch darum, #3 abzusichern und niemanden mehr in die Nähe der eigenen Grünfläche zu lassen.

Das könnte noch eine Herausforderung werden, denn die Ukraine schaut sehr verstohlen auf die Früchte auf dem Grünen Planeten. Kommt es hier noch zu einem Angriff während des heutigen Bonustages? Für SG und CNT geht es dagegen wohl eher um das kontrollierte Ende der Jagd. Das können sie sich auch leisten, denn BOINC@AUSTRALIA und [H] sind eher miteinander im Clinch, als dass sie den Blick nach vorne werfen.

Dahinter finden wir weitere spannende Duelle. BOINC.Italy und NT werden die Entscheidung um #9 suchen, AF und RKN um #11 und MK und LITOMYSL um #13. Es ist auch möglich, dass mit aktiver Nutzung des Bonustages hier und da die Zweisamkeit zerbricht und Dreiecksbeziehungen angestrebt werden. Dafür sind aber Steigerungen nötig.

Dahinter scheint man sich diesen Stress nicht antun zu wollen, da weder GPUUG noch EVGA noch 2ch irgendwelche Anstalten einer Beschleunigung zeigen. Interessant wird es aber zwischen BC und Chinese Dream um #18. Die Träumer kommen stetig näher und könnten am Schlusstag noch vorbeigehen. AMD und B^S wollen sich diese Hektik aber wohl nicht antun.
