Day 8 12 May 2026 #ohhowitsparkles​

The chase is over and Baba Yaga and co. finally have some space again in the forest of numbers. After the third attempt with the Javelin, we can now judge more easily how the situation in this field event is playing out. And additionally, the City Run has started, which is especially attractive this year. But one thing at a time.

Steeplechase in the forest of numbers (PrimeGrid: only subproject SR5 Sieve)
TAAT were again unbeatable this time. Smart as they are, LTT did not go on a hara-kiri mission, but settled for #2. #3 was highly contested, but in the end, P3D could win over Ukraine. Congratulations to all who squirreled away the medals.

At the end, Ukraine lacked the last tiny bit of power to get rid of #4. However, this is still their highest rank in a single discipline during a Pentathlon. SG are unsurprisingly in #5 ahead of CNT in #6.

[H] did not back down, defended #7, and left BOINC@AUSTRALIA no chance. The Australians, however, will be more than happy with #8, since this place was also on the books of last years Steeplechase. While BOINC.Italy (#9) and NT (#10) crossed the finish line calmly, it was not so chill behind that. RKN had passed AF (#12) on the final day and left no chances for the tired francophones in regards to #11.

No surprises behind that. MK secured #13 and computed a solid result. The cool guys still hat to sweat a little in the end, since LITOMYSL (#14) came dangerously close.

GPUUG finished in #15. Last year, they had one similarly weak final result. We will see if that was just a slip-up.

EVGA in #16 and 2ch in #17 delivered as expected. Chinese Dream (#18), BC (#19), AMD (#20), and B^S (#21) didnt feel like doing much in the end, and so these teams trotted over the finish line one by one.

City Run in gravitys pull (Einstein@Home)
During the traditional City Run, the speed is high and the changes of pace are remarkable. That is why, dear reader, I ask you to not be too impressed by the huge gaps between contestants.

GPUUG have taken the lead. That is no surprise, since their own equipment fits like a glove on this track. TAAT come shortly after and behind them, SG fired a massive booster, which itself led to raised eyebrows on LTTs side.

Did the Green Planet run out of fertiliser? P3D is currently stuck in #6 and is risking to lose contact. While P3D is checking the contents of their soil, CNT (#7), NT, and LITOMYSL are crowding together. LITOMYSL should be careful, because AF would like to snack on something nutritious. The francophones are going at a good pace. Getting a spot in the top 10 will be a real challenge for EVGA. While they are currently in #11, [H] and BOINC@AUSTRALIA are approaching fast and might even be hungry for a fat broiler.

B^S had a very good start, but now it is getting crowded in #14. RKN are already signalling and have changed to the fast lane. MK in #16 are also a little behind. Last year, gravity did not quite work for them. We will see if this is going to change.

That could be the chance for 2ch to get away from #17. But for that they will have to hold the chopsticks tight and start chomping. Up until now, BOINC.Italy showed a refreshing competition, but in the City Run they are currently not really getting started. But I would not write off the Italians just yet. At the end, AMD are romping around in #19, followed by Chinese Dream and BC.

Javelin Throw (SRBase: all subprojects except TF)
Yesterday did not bring a preliminary decision yet, but now we can better judge the performance of particular teams. To accurately realise their potential is now every teams job. They will have the opportunity for that tomorrow.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA is still at the top but that will not last. The Australians did not manage to draw a consistent picture. Is that a tactical error or are they deliberately fooling their competitors?

Since LTT skipped yesterday, they are now forced to go full in for the next two throws. However, the given schedule is not really perfect for that. Silver is possible, Gold will be tough, since TAAT made their ambitions clear with yesterdays new record.

AF and EVGA were slightly weaker. Here, it seems like at least one strong throw is still in the planning. Since SG delivered yesterday, P3D have to give their all and hope for SG to slip to still win Bronze. A comfortable situation for SG, who could win last years only medal with the Javelin.

CNT also only need one more throw to finish in #5. RKN and BC, and perhaps GPUUG, are infighting. A lot of movement is still possible here, since the respective throws differ greatly.

B^S on the other hand are showing consistently good performances. We will see what that will be good for in the end. They will not, however, be able to beat BOINC.Italy. The Italians were able to recharge their batteries enough to make this official with the next throw.

MK threw well yesterday and I suppose that the fifth and last throw will be equally strong. With the previous results, they are on the same level as AF. Behind them, LITOMYSL are going the extra mile, but that is not enough to get to Ukraine, NT, and [H]. Here is the big But: that trio still has to throw twice, which is not ideal with this schedule.

Chinese Dream had their best performance yesterday, as did AMD. The latter are also forced to throw twice if they do not want a zero on the scoreboard. Since 2ch did not throw at all, that zero will still be in the rankings.

La chasse est terminée et laisse désormais place à Baba Yaga et compagnie dans la forêt des nombres. Avec la troisième tentative au Javelot, nous arrivons désormais à mieux évaluer comment se présente la situation dans cette discipline. De plus, la Course Urbaine a démarré. Cette année, elle est particulièrement attractive. Mais procédons par ordre.

Steeple-chase dans la forêt des nombres (PrimeGrid: uniquement le sous-projet SR5 Sieve)
Cette fois encore, TAAT n'a pu être battue. Sagement, LTT n'a plus tenté d'actions suicidaires et s'est satisfaite de la 2e place. La lutte pour la 3e place a été acharnée. Finalement, P3D a pris le dessus sur l'Ukraine. Toutes nos félicitations aux collectionneuses de médailles.

À la fin, il manquait à l'Ukraine le petit chouïa de force pour se débarrasser de la 4e place. Et pourtant, cette 4e place est son meilleur classement individuel au Pentathlon. Sans grande surprise, SG décroche la 5e place, devant CNT (#6).

[H] n'a rien négligé non plus et a réussi à défendre la 7e place, ne laissant aucune chance à BOINC@AUSTRALIA. Toutefois, les Australiens devraient être plus que satisfaits de ce rang 8, car c'est le même classement que lors du Steeple-chase de l'an dernier.

Tandis que BOINC.Italy (#9) et NT (#10) ont passé tranquillement la ligne d'arrivée, les choses étaient moins agréables derrière. Le dernier jour, RKN a doublé l'AF (#12) et n'a laissé aucune chance aux Francophones de remonter au rang 11.

Aucune surprise derrière. MK ont sécurisé la 13e place et ont ainsi obtenu un résultat solide. Par contre, les gars et les filles cool ont un peu transpiré à la fin, car LITOMYSL (#14) s'est approchée dangereusement.

GPUUG est arrivée 15e. L'an dernier, elle avait un classement sensiblement aussi mitigé. Nous verrons bien si ce n'était qu'un écart.

En revanche, EVGA (#16) et 2ch (#17) ont réalisé leur performance. Chinese Dream (#18), BC (#19), AMD (#20) et B^S (#21) n'avaient plus envie sur la fin et ont ainsi passé la ligne d'arrivée en trottinant les unes après les autres.

Course Urbaine avec une force d'attraction (Einstein@Home)
Dans la traditionnelle Course Urbaine, la vitesse est élevée et les changements de vitesse ne sont pas négligeables non plus. Chères lectrices et chers lecteurs, ne vous laissez donc pas impressionner par les écarts qui semblent énormes.

GPUUG a pris la tête. Ce n'est pas une surprise, car son équipement est parfaitement adapté à ce parcours. TAAT est un peu en retrait et, derrière, SG vient de donner un bon coup de boost qui, à son tour, a dû faire froncer les sourcils chez LTT. L'Ukraine (#5) ne veut pas être en reste et colle au train.

Est-ce que la Planète Verte serait à court d'engrais? Pour l'heure, P3D est scotchée à la 6e place et risque de se faire distancer. Tandis que P3D vérifie la composition des sols, CNT (#7), NT et LITOMYSL se sont rapprochées. Mais LITOMYSL devrait faire attention, car l'AF aimerait bien picorer encore quelques nutriments. L'allure des Francophones est actuellement bonne. Décrocher une place dans le top 10 sera un réel défi pour EVGA: actuellement à la 11e place, [H] et BOINC@AUSTRALIA la talonnent déjà, et elles auront peut-être même envie d'un bon gros poulet rôti.

B^S a fait un très bon départ, mais maintenant les choses deviennent serrées au rang 14. RKN a déjà mis le clignotant et est passée sur la voie de gauche. MK (#16) sont un peu en retard. L'an dernier, la gravitation ne leur convenait pas trop, voyons si ça va encore changer.

Ça pourrait être une opportunité pour 2ch de décoller de la 17e place. Mais pour ça, elle devra bien serrer les baguettes et commencer à manger. Jusqu'à présent, BOINC.Italy a livré une compétition pleine de fraîcheur, mais elle peine actuellement à trouver son rythme dans la Course Urbaine. Cependant, je ne rayerais pas les Italiens de mes tablettes. En queue de peloton, nous retrouvons encore AMD (#19), suivie de Chinese Dream et BC.

Lancer de Javelot (SRBase: tous les sous-projets sauf TF)
La journée d'hier n'a certes pas apporté de décision préliminaire, mais nous arrivons mieux à évaluer la puissance des différentes équipes. Il revient maintenant aux équipes de mettre en uvre leur potentiel au point près. Elles en auront l'occasion à partir de demain.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA continue à mener le tableau, mais cela ne durera pas. Jusqu'à présent, les Australiens n'arrivent pas à rendre une image stable. Est-ce une erreur tactique ou une tromperie volontaire de la concurrence?

Comme LTT a fait l'impasse hier, elle est obligée de s'investir pleinement dans les deux prochains lancers. Par contre, le planning désormais connu n'est pas vraiment parfait pour cela. L'argent est possible, l'or sera difficile, puisque TAAT a confirmé hier ses ambitions en enregistrant sa meilleure distance.

L'AF et EVGA étaient un peu plus faibles hier; on dirait qu'au moins un lancer plus fort est encore prévu. Comme SG a bien joué hier, P3D doit tout donner pour décrocher le bronze - et en plus espérer un faux-pas de SG. Une situation confortable pour SG, qui a réussi à décrocher sa seule médaille l'an dernier au Lancer de Javelot.

CNT, aussi, n'a plus besoin que d'un seul lancer pour arriver 5e à la fin. BC, RKN et peut-être aussi GPUUG sont prises dans une lutte intestine. Mais il pourrait encore y avoir beaucoup de mouvement, car les différents lancers sont parfois très variables.

En revanche, B^S offre des performances stables. Nous verrons bien à quoi cela servira au final. Mais elle ne pourra pas battre BOINC.Italy: les Italiens ont pris des forces hier pour rendre cela officiel lors du prochain lancer.

MK ont une fois de plus bien lancé hier et je présume que le cinquième et dernier lancer sera d'une force similaire. Avec les résultats obtenus jusqu'à présent, elle évolue au niveau de l'AF. Derrière, LITOMYSL fait encore mieux, mais cela ne suffit pas pour atteindre l'Ukraine, NT et [H]. Et voilà le gros « mais »: le trio devra lancer encore deux fois, ce qui n'est pas idéal avec le planning donné.

Chinese Dream a également fait sa meilleure distance hier, tout comme AMD. Cette dernière est obligée de lancer encore deux fois si elle ne veut pas voir apparaître un zéro au tableau. Comme 2ch n'a encore rien lancé, le zéro apparaîtra au tableau quoi qu'il en soit.

• SG pourra-t-elle décrocher le bronze à la Course Urbaine?
• P3D trébuchera-t-elle au Javelot?
• Où l'Ukraine peut-elle encore nous surprendre?

Die Jagd ist vorbei und im Zahlenwald ist wieder mehr Platz für Baba Jaga und Co. Dazu können wir mit dem dritten Speer-Versuch nun besser einschätzen, wie sich die Lage in der Wurfdisziplin darstellt. Und noch dazu ist der Stadtlauf gestartet, der in diesem Jahr wieder besonders anziehend ist. Aber der Reihe nach.

Jagdrennen im Zahlenwald (PrimeGrid: nur das Subprojekt SR5 Sieve)
Der Sieg ist auch dieses Mal TAAT nicht zu nehmen. LTT versuchte klugerweise keine Harakiri-Aktionen mehr und gab sich am Ende mit #2 zufrieden. Um Platz 3 wurde noch fleißig gerungen, am Ende konnte sich P3D gegenüber der Ukraine durchsetzen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch unseren Edelmetallhamsterern.

Der Ukraine fehlte am Ende das letzte Quäntchen Kraft, um #4 loszuwerden. Dennoch ist Platz 4 weiterhin die beste Einzelplatzierung im Pentathlon. SG holt sich wenig überraschend #5 vor CNT auf #6.

Nichts anbrennen ließ auch [H], konnte so #7 verteidigen und ließ somit BOINC@AUSTRALIA keine Chance. Mit Platz 8 werden die Australier aber mehr als zufrieden sein, denn auch im letztjährigen Jagdrennen stand diese Platzierung zu Buche.

Während BOINC.Italy (#9) und NT (#10) in Ruhe im Ziel ankamen, ging es dahinter nicht so behaglich zu. RKN hatte am Schlusstag AF (#12) überholt und ließ den ermatteten Frankophonen keine Chance mehr auf Rang 11.

Keine Überraschungen gab es dahinter. MK sicherten #13 ab und errechneten sich so ein solides Ergebnis. Allerdings mussten die Coolen noch etwas schwitzen zum Schluss, denn LITOMYSL (#14) kam gefährlich nah heran.

GPUUG kam auf #15 ins Ziel. Im vergangenen Jahr gab es eine ähnliche schwache Platzierung. Wir werden sehen, ob das nur ein Ausrutscher war.

EVGA auf #16 und 2ch auf #17 haben dagegen ihre Leistung erbracht. Chinese Dream (#18), BC (#19), AMD (#20) und B^S (#21) hatten am Ende auch keine Lust mehr und so trabten diese Teams eins nach dem anderen durchs Ziel.

Stadtlauf mit Anziehungskraft (Einstein@Home)
Beim traditionellen Stadtlauf ist das Tempo hoch und auch die Tempowechsel sind beachtlich. Deshalb lassen Sie sich bitte, werte Leser, nicht davon beeindrucken, dass die Abstände groß erscheinen.

GPUUG hat sich an die Spitze gesetzt. Das ist keine Überraschung, denn die eigene Ausrüstung passt wie A⁠rsch auf Eimer bei dieser Strecke. TAAT hängt etwas zurück und dahinter hat SG gerade einen kräftigen Boost gezündet, der wiederum bei LTT für hochgezogene Augenbrauen gesorgt haben sollte. Da will auch die Ukraine (#5) nicht zurückstehen und bleibt dran.

Ist beim Grünen Planeten der Dünger ausgegangen? Aktuell hängt P3D auf #6 fest und ist in Gefahr, den Anschluss zu verlieren. Während P3D die Bodeninhalte prüft, haben sich CNT (#7), NT und LITOMYSL enger zusammengedrängt. Dabei sollte LITOMYSL aufpassen, denn AF würde gerne noch Nahrhaftes wegpicken. Das Tempo der Frankophonen ist derzeit gut. Einen Platz in den Top 10 zu holen, wird für EVGA zu einer echten Herausforderung. Derzeit sind sie auf #11, doch es drängen von hinten bereits [H] und BOINC@AUSTRALIA heran und haben vielleicht sogar Lust auf einen fetten Broiler.

Einen sehr guten Start hatte B^S, aber nun wird es auf #14 eng. RKN hat bereits den Blinker gesetzt und ist auf die Überholspur gewechselt. Und auch MK (#16) hängen etwas zurück. Im letzten Jahr hatten sie es nicht so mit der Gravitation, mal sehen, ob sich das noch ändert.

Das könnte die Chance für 2ch sein, um von #17 loszukommen. Dafür muss man aber die Stäbchen fest zusammenhalten und losmampfen. Bisher hat BOINC.Italy einen erfrischenden Wettkampf abgeliefert, aber im Stadtlauf kommt man derzeit nicht in die Gänge. Ich würde die Italiener aber nicht abschreiben. Am Feldende tummeln sich wieder AMD (#19), gefolgt von Chinese Dream und BC.

Speerwerfen (SRBase: alle Subprojekte außer TF)
Der gestrige Tag hat zwar keine Vorentscheidung gebracht, doch nun können wir die Leistungsfähigkeit einzelner Teams besser einschätzen. Ihr Potenzial punktgenau umzusetzen, das obliegt nun den Teams selbst. Ab morgen gibt es dazu die Gelegenheit.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA steht weiter oben in der Tabelle, was aber nicht von Dauer sein wird. Die Australier schaffen es bisher nicht, ein stabiles Bild abzugeben. Ob das ein taktischer Fehler oder bewusste Täuschung der Konkurrenz ist?

Da LTT gestern ausgelassen hat, ist man gezwungen, die nächsten beiden Würfe voll zu werfen. Allerdings ist der jetzt bekannte Zeitplan dafür nicht unbedingt perfekt. Silber ist möglich, Gold wird so schwer, da TAAT gestern seine Ambitionen mit Bestweite untermauert hat.

Etwas schwächer waren gestern AF und EVGA unterwegs, hier scheint mindestens noch ein stärkerer Wurf geplant zu sein. Da SG gestern abgeliefert hat, muss P3D für Bronze alles geben und dann noch auf einen Patzer von SG hoffen. Eine komfortable Situation, in der man ja auch im letzten Jahr beim Speerwerfen die einzige Medaille holen konnte.

Auch CNT braucht nur noch einen Wurf, um am Ende auf #5 einzugehen. BC und RKN und vielleicht auch GPUUG sind im Infight. Hier ist aber noch viel Bewegung möglich, da die einzelnen Würfe sich teils stark unterscheiden.

Dagegen liefert B^S stabil ab, mal sehen, wofür das am Ende gut ist. BOINC.Italy wird man allerdings nicht schlagen können, die Italiener haben gestern Kraft getankt, um beim nächsten Wurf dies auch offiziell zu machen.

MK haben gestern wieder gut geworfen und ich vermute, dass der fünfte und letzte Wurf ähnlich stark sein wird. Mit den bisherigen Ergebnissen bewegt man sich auf dem Niveau von AF. Noch dahinter setzt LITOMYSL da deutlich eins drauf, doch reicht das nicht, um Ukraine, NT und [H] zu erreichen. Hier kommt dann doch das große Aber: Das Trio muss noch zweimal werfen, was beim Zeitplan nicht optimal ist.

Chinese Dream hat gestern auch Bestweite geworfen, ebenso wie AMD, wobei Letztere auch gezwungen sind, zweimal zu werfen, wenn keine Null auf der Wertung stehen soll. Da 2ch keinen Wurf gemacht hat, wird die Null aber dennoch auf dem Klassement erscheinen.

• Kann SG im Stadtlauf Bronze holen?
• Stolpert P3D mit dem Speer?
• Wo kann die Ukraine noch überraschen?
