Day 9 13 May 2026 #busytimes​

The second half of the Pentathlon is well underway and we are close to the next decision. We could get preliminary results at the Javelin Throw today. Today, I will also have a look at the Marathon and the Overall Standings, even if they are still far from being accurate.

City Run in gravitys pull (Einstein@Home)
GPUUG are still holding the place at the top, but TAAT accelerated strongly and are gaining ground. And behind them, Ukraine pushed onto the Bronze rank. Is this because they did not give their all with the Javelin? We will see if this tactic will work out.

Behind that, LTT are still within reach and are looting their spare part storages, in the hopes to find some more computing power. After a nice quick burst of speed, SG fell back a bit and they have to watch out to not lose contact. Surprisingly, P3D are still found behind them. 2020 was the last year they performed so insufficiently in a discipline.

CNT in #7 are still delivering a solid and stable performance and, from a little distance, can watch the duel between BOINC@AUSTRALIA and NT, where the Australians just fired the afterburner. That is a duel that could become a quartet, if AF and LITOMYSL can close the gap.

[H] in #12 also seem able to do a bit more, however, they are not really pushed by EVGA. Behind that, we find RKN in #14 who are able to hold off B^S. Almost touching each other, MK and BOINC.Italy are fighting for #16. This closeness feels electrifying. The Italians have a little advantage here.

2ch have to let got and are securely sitting in #18. AMD are a bit behind, but could be able to slowly and steadily close the gap. At the end, BC and Chinese Dream are wrestling for #20.

Marathon through the Milky Way (MilkyWay@home)
And what is going on the long-distance track? Ukraine are steadily distancing the rest, with a speed clearly higher than that of the contestants. TAAT do not seem to be willing to attack, while P3D have troubles keeping up with TAAT.

LTT can make themselves comfortable in #4, since the gap to the top is too big and there is no danger from behind. SG seem to be happy with #5, as are CNT with #6. But the fight for #7 is not over, yet. GPUUG is a bit ahead of AF, but this gap could be closed fast. A sip from the magic potion would be great for that. But will they find the right ingredients in time?

The situation regarding #9 is similar. BOINC@AUSTRALIA are feeling [H]s steaming breath in their back, who are currently in #10. Behind that, RKN is caught between a rock and a hard place: no chance for better ranks but also no pressure from behind. The next days will show if they are happy with that or if they will do something about it.

2ch in #12 is under pressure. BOINC.Italy are closing in and could pass in the near future. NT (#14) are building their security cushion against EVGA. And it is wise to do so, because behind them, MK are hiding and slowly creeping up. I also would not write off LITOMYSL, who might be a bit behind but who are faster than EVGA.

AMD and Chinese Dream have no business with this quarrel, because they are concerned with each other. This is producing real frictional heat. The only movement of the day was at the end of the field, where BC conquered #20 and thrust the lantern rouge into B^Ss hands.

Javelin Throw (SRBase: all subprojects except TF)
We have a new leader at the Javelin throw. SG pushed to the top and by that practically secured Bronze. P3D are only left with securing #4 or hoping for a slip by TAAT or LTT, respectively. But the lucky stars seem to be against that.

It is still hard to judge who will take advantage of today or tomorrow. LITOMYSL are currently well on track and might probably want to skip tomorrow, whereas AF seems to be saving energy today. GPUUG are showing a clear record throw today, which is, however, far off from the potentially relevant result.

RKN are also throwing today and they will have to repeat that tomorrow, otherwise they will end up at the end of the table. CNT also seem to use today to rest a bit to go for the last throw tomorrow.

[H] confirm their previous best result, but cannot get close to Ukraine, who themselves cannot keep up with NT. By that, this trio will probably be turned upside-down tomorrow and slide up in the list.

Overall Standings
Time to have a look at the overall standings again, although they are distorted by the Javelin Throw. TAAT are leading the pack and benefits from unstable contestants, who fumble the ball too often. P3D will have to say goodbye to #2 tomorrow, since LTT will score.

#4 will be a probable option for SG, also due to Ukraine (#5) dropping points with the javelin. GPUUG are currently in #6 and still benefit from the City Run. However, BOINC@AUSTRALIA and CNT might be willing and able to change that.

AF in #9 is currently in the top 10. But the Javelin Throw will change that. LITOMYSL (#10) is not the main competitor here. [H], RKN, and NT will massively score with good last throws.

EVGA in #14 is currently ahead of BOINC.Italy, but this will also change. BC are wrestling with MK and also have to watch out for 2ch. B^S can be found in #19, followed by Chinese Dream and AMD. The chip-users seem to have a significant deficit, but that might be misleading.

La deuxième moitié du Pentathlon bat son plein et nous nous approchons du prochain dénouement. Des résultats préliminaires pourraient déjà tomber au Lancer de Javelot aujourd'hui. Je jetterai également un il au Marathon et au classement général, même si ce dernier est encore très biaisé.

Course Urbaine avec attraction (Einstein@Home)
GPUUG continue à mener, mais TAAT a fortement accéléré et gagne du terrain. Derrière, l'Ukraine s'est installée à la troisième place. Est-ce parce qu'elle n'a pas tout donné au Javelot? Voyons voir si cette tactique fonctionne.

LTT, derrière, n'est qu'à quelques foulées et pille ses caisses de pièces de rechange en espérant trouver encore un peu de puissance. Après un bon sprint intermédiaire, SG a un peu régressé et doit faire attention à ne pas perdre le contact. À la grande surprise, P3D peut être trouvée derrière. La dernière fois qu'elle était aussi médiocre dans une discipline, c'était en 2020.

Avec sa 7e place, CNT montre une fois de plus une performance solide et stable et elle peut observer le duel entre BOINC@AUSTRALIA et NT depuis une certaine distance. Les Australiens viennent juste d'allumer la post-combustion. Ce duel pourrait encore se transformer en bataille à quatre, à condition que l'AF et LITOMYSL arrivent à rattraper leur retard.

[H], à la 12e place, me semble également perfectible, mais elle n'est pas non plus motivée par EVGA pour l'instant. Derrière, nous trouvons RKN au rang 14, qui arrive à tenir B^S à distance. C'est au coude à coude entre MK et BOINC.Italy pour la 16e place. Là encore, la proximité rend l'atmosphère électrique, avec un léger avantage pour les Italiens pour l'instant.

2ch doit laisser filer et se trouve actuellement sur une 18e place relativement sûre. AMD est à une certaine distance, mais elle pourrait lentement mais sûrement réduire l'écart. À la fin, BC et Chinese Dream se battent pour la 20e place.

Marathon sur la Voie Lactée (MilkyWay@home)
Qu'en est-il de la piste longue? L'Ukraine ne cesse de distancer le peloton, son rythme reste nettement supérieur à celui de ses adversaires. TAAT ne semble pas vouloir attaquer, tandis que P3D peine à suivre TAAT.

LTT peut déjà s'installer confortablement à la 4e place, car son retard par rapport au groupe de tête est net et aucun danger ne menace à l'arrière. SG semble se contenter de la 5e place, tout comme CNT de la 6e. En revanche, la barre chocolatée de la 7e place n'a pas encore été mangée: pour l'heure, GPUUG a une petite avance sur l'AF, mais elle pourrait être rapidement comblée. Pour cela, une gorgée de potion magique serait super, mais l'équipe trouvera-t-elle les bons ingrédients à temps?

Les choses sont similaires pour la 9e place: BOINC@AUSTRALIA sent le souffle chaud de [H] (actuellement #10) dans son cou. Derrière, RKN se trouve entre l'arbre et l'écorce: elle n'arrive pas à avancer et il n'y a pas de pression à l'arrière. Les prochains jours montreront si cela lui convient ou si elle va y remédier.

En revanche, 2ch (#12) est sous pression: BOINC.Italy s'approche de plus en plus et pourrait la doubler prochainement. Pendant ce temps, NT (#14) renforce sa marge de sécurité sur EVGA. C'est vraiment à recommander, car derrière elle se cachent MK qui s'approchent discrètement. Je n'écarterais pas non plus LITOMYSL: certes, elle est un peu en retrait, mais elle avance plus vite qu'EVGA.

AMD et Chinese Dream n'ont que faire de cette confrontation, car elles sont occupées l'une avec l'autre. Cela produit une véritable énergie de frottement. Le seul mouvement du jour a eu lieu en queue de peloton, car BC a conquis la 20e place et transmis la lanterne rouge à B^S.

Lancer de Javelot (SRBase: tous les sous-projets sauf TF)
Nous avons une nouvelle meneuse au Lancer de Javelot: SG a pris la tête et peut quasiment être sûre de décrocher le bronze. Il ne reste à P3D que de sécuriser la 4e place ou d'espérer une boulette de TAAT ou de LTT. Mais les astres ne sont pas du tout favorables à cela.

Pour l'instant, il est difficile de savoir qui profitera de cette journée ou de demain. LITOMYSL progresse bien en ce moment et pourrait vouloir se reposer demain, alors que l'AF semble s'économiser aujourd'hui. GPUUG établit aujourd'hui un record nettement supérieur, qui s'écarte toutefois trop du résultat potentiel.

RKN lance aussi aujourd'hui, mais elle devra répéter la même chose demain, sinon elle se retrouve en fin de peloton. CNT profite également de la journée pour se reposer un peu; elle placera sûrement son dernier lancer demain.

[H] confirme le meilleur résultat obtenu jusqu'à présent, mais n'arrive pas à s'approcher de l'Ukraine qui, à son tour, n'arrive pas à la hauteur de NT. Le trio sera donc sûrement mis sens dessus-dessous demain et remontera bien loin dans le tableau.

Classement général
Il est temps de jeter à nouveau un il au classement général, même s'il est biaisé à cause du Lancer de Javelot. TAAT mène la meute et profite de la fragilité de la concurrence qui fait trop de fautes. P3D, actuellement à la 2e place, devrait pouvoir lui dire adieu demain, car LTT marquera des points.

Pour SG, la 4e place devrait rester une option probable, d'autant plus que l'Ukraine (#5) laisse filer des points au Javelot. Au rang 6, nous trouvons actuellement GPUUG qui profite encore de la Course Urbaine. Par contre, BOINC@AUSTRALIA et CNT devraient vouloir et pouvoir changer cela.

Avec une 9e place, l'AF est actuellement bien placée dans le top 10, mais le Lancer de Javelot changera ça aussi. En cela, LITOMYSL (#10) n'est pas le plus grand concurrent. [H], RKN et NT pourront marquer pas mal de points avec de bons derniers lancers.

Pour l'heure au rang 14, EVGA devant BOINC.Italy changera aussi. BC se bat contre MK et doit également faire attention à 2ch. B^S se retrouve actuellement à la 19e place, suivie par Chinese Dream et AMD. Les utilisateurs de puces semblent avoir un net retard, mais ce n'est qu'une apparence.

Die zweite Hälfte des Pentathlon ist im vollen Gange und wir nähern uns der nächsten Entscheidung. Beim Speerwerfen könnten heute bereits Vorentscheidungen fallen. Heute schaue ich auch mal wieder auf den Marathon und die Gesamtwertung, auch wenn diese noch stark verzerrt ist.

Stadtlauf mit Anziehung (Einstein@Home)
GPUUG hält sich weiter an der Spitze, aber TAAT hat kräftig beschleunigt und macht Boden gut. Und dahinter hat sich Ukraine auf den Bronzerang gesetzt. Ist dies der Grund, weshalb man beim Speerwerfen nicht alles gegeben hat? Schau'n wir mal, ob diese Taktik aufgeht.

LTT dahinter ist noch in Schlagdistanz und plündert eigene Teilekisten, mit der Hoffnung, noch etwas Power zu finden. Nach gutem Zwischenspurt ist SG etwas zurückgefallen und sollte aufpassen, nicht den Anschluss zu verlieren. Weiter überraschend dahinter ist P3D zu finden. Zuletzt waren sie 2020 in einer Disziplin so ungenügend unterwegs.

CNT liefert mit #7 wieder eine solide und stabile Leistung ab und kann sich mit etwas Abstand das Duell zwischen BOINC@AUSTRALIA und NT anschauen, wo die Australier gerade den Nachbrenner gezündet haben. Ein Duell, aus dem noch ein Vierkampf werden könnte, vorausgesetzt, es gelingt AF und LITOMYSL, den Rückstand zu verringern.

[H] auf #12 erscheint mir auch noch steigerungsfähig, wird aber derzeit auch nicht von EVGA motiviert. Dahinter finden wir RKN auf #14, die B^S auf Abstand halten können. Haut an Haut geht es zwischen MK und BOINC.Italy um #16 zu. Auch hier wirkt die Nähe elektrisierend, mit leichtem Vorteil für die Italiener derzeit.

2ch muss da abreißen lassen und ist aktuell auf einem recht sicheren #18. AMD ist etwas weg, könnte aber den Rückstand noch langsam, aber stetig verringern. Und am Ende ringen BC und Chinese Dream um #20.

Marathon auf der Milchstraße (MilkyWay@home)
Wie sieht es eigentlich auf der Langstrecke aus? Ukraine setzt sich stetig vom Feld ab, ihr Tempo ist noch deutlich über dem der Konkurrenz. TAAT scheint hier nicht angreifen zu wollen, während P3D alle Mühe hat, TAAT zu folgen.

LTT kann sich dabei schon auf #4 häuslich einrichten, denn der Rückstand auf die Spitze ist deutlich und von hinten droht auch keine Gefahr. SG ist wohl mit #5 zufrieden, ebenso CNT mit #6. Dagegen ist der Schokoriegel um #7 noch nicht gegessen. GPUUG hat derzeit hier einen kleineren Vorsprung auf AF, welcher aber schnell schließbar wäre. Dafür wäre ein Schluck Zaubertrank super, aber ob sie die richtigen Zutaten rechtzeitig finden?

Und auch um #9 geht es vergleichbar zu. BOINC@AUSTRALIA spürt im Nacken den heißen Atem von [H], die derzeit #10 innehaben. Dahinter ist RKN zwischen Baum und Borke, nach vorn geht es nicht und von hinten kommt kein Druck. Die nächsten Tage werden zeigen, ob sie sich damit wohlfühlen oder etwas dagegen tun.

Unter Druck ist 2ch auf #12. Hier kommt BOINC.Italy immer näher und könnte in nächster Zeit vorbeigehen. NT (#14) baut derweil den Sicherheitspuffer auf EVGA aus. Dies ist auch wirklich zu empfehlen, denn dahinter verbergen sich noch MK, die sich langsam heranschleichen. Auch nicht abschreiben würde ich dahinter LITOMYSL, sie mögen zwar etwas zurückhängen, sind aber flotter unterwegs als EVGA.

Mit dieser Auseinandersetzung haben AMD und Chinese Dream nichts am Hut, denn beide sind miteinander beschäftigt. Hier entsteht echte Reibungsenergie. Die einzige Bewegung des Tages gab es bisher am Ende des Feldes, denn dort hat BC #20 erobert und B^S die rote Laterne in die Hand gedrückt.

Speerwerfen (SRBase: alle Subprojekte außer TF)
Eine neuen Führenden haben wir im Speerwerfen. SG hat sich an die Spitze gesetzt und damit praktisch Bronze sicher. P3D bleibt da nur, #4 abzusichern oder auf einen Patzer von TAAT bzw. LTT zu hoffen. Dafür stehen die Sterne aber sehr ungünstig.

Noch lässt sich schwer einschätzen, wer heute oder morgen nutzt. LITOMYSL ist derzeit gut unterwegs und könnte morgen aussetzen wollen, wogegen AF scheinbar heute noch Kraft spart. GPUUG setzt heute eine deutliche Bestmarke, die sich aber zu stark vom potentiellen Wertungsergebnis absetzt.

Werfen tun heute auch RKN, müssen das aber noch morgen wiederholen, ansonsten geht es ans Ende des Feldes. Auch CNT nutzt den heutigen Tag für etwas Ruhe, um wohl morgen den letzten Wurf zu setzen.

[H] bestätigt die bisherige Bestweite, kommt aber nicht an Ukraine heran, welche wiederum nicht an NT herankommt. So wird das Trio morgen wohl auf den Kopf gestellt und weit nach oben auf die Liste rutschen.

Gesamtwertung
Es wird mal wieder Zeit, auf die Gesamtwertung zu schauen, auch wenn diese durch das Speerwerfen verzerrt ist. TAAT führt die Meute an und profitiert von der Instabilität der Konkurrenz, sie patzt zu viel. P3D derzeit auf #2, wird sich davon aber wohl morgen verabschieden dürfen, da LTT punkten wird.

Für SG wird #4 eine wahrscheinliche Option bleiben, auch weil Ukraine (#5) beim Speerwerfen Punkte liegen lässt. Derzeit auf #6 ist GPUUG zu finden, profitiert derzeit dabei noch vom Stadtlauf. Allerdings dürften BOINC@AUSTRALIA und CNT dies ändern wollen und können.

Mit #9 ist AF derzeit gut in den Top 10, allerdings wird das Speerwerfen auch hier das noch ändern. LITOMYSL (#10) ist dabei nicht der größte Konkurrent. [H], RKN und NT werden mit guten letzten Würfen kräftig punkten können.

Derzeit auf #14 EVGA vor BOINC.Italy wird sich auch noch ändern. BC ringt dabei mit MK und muss genauso auf 2ch achten. B^S ist derzeit auf #19 zu finden, gefolgt von Chinese Dream und AMD. Die Chipuser scheinen einen deutlicheren Rückstand zu haben, doch das scheint nur so.

• Schlägt SG beim Stadtlauf zurück?
