Der VideoLAN <a href="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/" target="b">VLC media player</a> - ein universeller Multiformat-Mediaplayer, der nicht nur Filme bereits anspielen kann, während sie noch heruntergeladen werden (und deshalb bei Filesharing-Freunden sehr beliebt ist), sondern auch die Möglichkeit bietet, selbst Filme ins Netz zu streamen - ist in der neuen Version 0.8.6a erschienen.

Der VLC media player unterstützt bereits von Haus aus unzählige Audio- und Video-Codecs und wird für eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Betriebssysteme bereitgestellt. Eine Übersicht der bereits integrierten Codecs und der unterstützten Plattformen zeigt eine <a href="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html" target="b">Feature-Übersicht</a>. Der VLC media player wird als kostenlose Freeware unter der <a href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html" target="b">GNU General Public License</a> angeboten.

Die Version 0.8.6a beseitigt eine kürzlich entdeckte Sicherheitslücke. Daher wird allen Anwendern ein Update empfohlen.

ich dummerle hab das kleine "a" übersehen...

"a" Läuft auch Standartgemäß wieder mit Vista XX, also keine Änderung in der Video Ausgabe mehr nötig.
