Die cc_config.xml und app_config.xml müssen immer noch mit in die entsprechenden Unterverzeichnisse des Instanzenverzeichnisses (z.B. /b01) kopiert werden. Sonst findet der BM der Instanz nichts und arbeitet nach Standard
 
Mein Bunker hat auf jeden Fall jetzt mit genug Festplattenplatz ein paar hundert Workunits bekommen.

Spamt und verwaltet dir Instanzen soviele du willst, Standardkonfigfiles sind in separatem Archiv verfügbar, muss nur noch deine account_*xml in das Konfigurationsrepo kopieren...
 
Ich möchte aber maximal 1-2 zusätzliche Instanzen.
 
Detailfrage:
Hab in einer Instanz eine fertig gerechnete ARP mit Ablaufdatum 29.10. Wenn ich die fertig gerechneten, noch nicht hochgeladenen Projekte anhalte und die Schleuse der Instanz öffne, wird dann nur die fertige ARP hochgeladen und gemeldet? Instanz hat 1200 fertige WUs, so dass ich keinen Blödsinn machen möchte, aber die 15 h Rechenzeit, die sonst ind en Sand gesetzt wären, stören mich auch irgendwie :-(
 
Kannst Du denn wirklich einzelne WUs, die schon fertig sind, noch anhalten?
Ich würde die eine WU einfach sein lassen, die ist das Risiko nicht wert.

Bei mir kommen nun endlich die WUs in die 2. Instanz, die ersten 1000 sind da. :)
 
Die WUs sind noch nicht hochgeladen, da das Netzwerk geblockt wurde. Daher sind die bei 100%, aber anhalten ist noch nicht ausgegraut.

Ich versuche es mal mit ein paar WUs bei einer neuen Instanz.

Ich glaube 10-20 reichen allerdings müssen diese Validiert sein. Also einfach nur abliefern reicht nicht.

Der 3900X hat nach dem Wechsel von Ubuntu zu Mint (=neuer PC für WCG?) sofort entsprechende hohe Mengen WUs bekommen, ohne das erst eine gewisse Anzahl WUs gegengerechnet werden mussten.
Jetzt lege ich die erste Instanz an und jetzt tut WCG so, als wäre es ein komplett neuer PC, den man erst mal überprüfen muss *buck*

Die Datei welche genauso auf dem Epyc funktioniert, nachdem ich die app_config editiert und das "arp1" neu und identisch (!!!) aus dem BM überkopiert und gespeichert habe. Einlesen und fertig...funktioniert auf dem 3900X aber nicht? *admin*
 
Hat er schon mal eine ARP gesehen? solange er noch keine WU hatte, kennt er diesen Typ auch noch nicht.

Das könnte es sein, die 3900x-Instanz hat bisher noch keine ARP in der Liste.
Beim Epyc bin ich mir ziemlich sicher, das er gleich mit dem ersten Schwung auch ARPs bekommen hat und ich die app_config erst später in das WCG-Verzeichnis der Instanz kopiert und einlesen ließ...kann aber eventuell daran liegen, das BOINC die letzten ARPs parallel zur ersten Intanz noch fertigrechnen musste und so quasi 256 statt 128 Threads aktiv waren.

Der 3900X hat nach dem Wechsel von Ubuntu zu Mint (=neuer PC für WCG?) sofort entsprechende hohe Mengen WUs bekommen, ohne das erst eine gewisse Anzahl WUs gegengerechnet werden mussten.
Jetzt hat die 3900x-Instanz 128 WUs auf einen Schlag bekommen, nachdem genau 4 WUs als valide eingestuft wurden.
 
Ich muss nachher wenns wieder zu Hause bin erstmal den EPYC umstellen - der rechnet gerade fleißig yoyo@home ?!?
 
Die app_config hab ich nur auf der Hauptinstanz, dort werden die ARP begrenzt und auf den anderen Instanzen (bisher erst eine) wird eben gar kein ARP angefordert. Hätte ich vorher gewusst, dass ich mit Instanzen arbeiten werde, hätte ich gleich nur mit SCC losgelegt.

Hat Mint vielleicht automatisch den Boinc Benchmark gemacht und Ubuntu nicht? Ich musste bei Ubuntu immer nachhelfen.

Beim Benchmark musste ich in der Tat nachhelfen. Aber das hat nichts daran geändert, dass erst 20 WUs gutgeschrieben werden mussten.
Allerdings war es nötig, um nicht nur 10, sondern 40 credits zu claimen. Das wäre ja doof, wenn man kaum Punkte für seine paar Tausend WUs bekommt.
 
Mal ne Frage. Ich lass jetzt zum ersten Mal MCM von WCG rechnen (auf dem Windowsrechner), aktuell hab ich bei 5 von 240 fertig gerechneten WUs Berechnungsfehler. Alle 5 Berechnungsfehler in den letzten 6h.
Da ich Berechnungsfehler gar nicht kenne von ARP oder OPN - kennt ihr das bei MCM? Oder muss ich mir Sorgen um meine Hardware machen?

Hatte ich letztens auch nach diversen Software Updates. Neustart des Rechners hat geholfen.

ja die MCM können schon etwas Zickig sein ;) hatte heute auch wieder 3 defekte und hab sicherheitshalber neu gestartet und es war wieder ein MS update da...
