The Ferrari 1100 is the latest addition to the Ferrari-branded notebook series and extends Acer’s tradition of offering cutting-edge technology perfected in the world of Formula One, made famous with the Ferrari 5000 and Ferrari 1000 notebook families that came before it.
Packed with innovative features, the new Ferrari 1100 brings digital media to life wherever you are: first, Acer has compacted its design to include an optical drive – an integrated slot-loaded DVD SuperMulti DL – without sacrificing portability, then it has equipped the new notebook with Dolby certified technology to deliver cinema style surround sound.
Acer has taken a giant step forward with the Ferrari 1100 building a complete, powerful, portable and versatile system beneath a carbon fiber casing that features the latest AMD Better By Design program with AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core mobile technology, an ATI Radeon X1250 integrated 3D graphics card with up to 960 MB of HyperMemory driving a 12.1” WXGA display with Acer CrystalBrite technology and a hard disk drive of up to 250GB.
The Ferrari 1100 guarantees stable communication through Acer InviLink Nplify 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wi-Fi CERTIFIED network connection, supporting SignalUp wireless technology. Both Acer technologies – InviLink Nplify and SignalUp – ensure that the Acer Videoconference solution can smoothly carry Voice and Video signals over the IP network.

The combination of Dolby Home Theater audio enhancement, that includes two built-in stereo speakers, and Acer eAudio Management allows the Ferrari 1100 to bring the pureness of surround sound wherever you are.
In addition, Acer PureZone technology cleans the sound field with beam forming, echo cancellation and noise suppression technologies allowing highest VoIP call quality, even in noisy environments.
And despite including an integrated slot-loaded DVD SuperMulti DL, there has been no impact on the weight of the Ferrari 1100 weight, which remains below 2 kilos.
Finally, the Ferrari 1100 sports a new durable design, as it is wrapped with carbon fiber for greater and stronger tensile strength.
