Day 5 - 09 May 2022 - 5th Dose​

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the next dose of energy and motivation. Today with a very special mix of dynamic obstacles, a dusty touch of Cross Country, and metallic javelin. An inimitable composition that will take you to new spheres. Let it have its effect and you will want more of it.

Javelin Throw (NumberFields@home)
The second throw is imminent and causes a lot of buzz. As a reminder, the third best throw will count in the end, so currently the second best throw is shown. So please take the current standings with a grain of salt.

TAAT seems to take full advantage of the second throw today as well, has thus taken the lead, and benefits from the Green Planet skipping this throw. By the way, P3D is currently in #13.

RKN is currently in #2 and makes another good throw, which may well be a tactical advantage for other disciplines later on. AF follows in #3, but it is not clear yet whether today's throw will be an improvement for them.

SG (#4) is significantly improving today, but still seems to be well behind their potential. This also looks to be the case for CNT (#5). We have to wait and see how the rest of the day will unfold. OCN (#6) and EVGA (#7) are confirming their first throws, whereas Ukraine (#8) is improving.

There are no signs of improvement from BOINC.Italy (#9), Chinese Dream (#10), and TC (#11) at the moment. But it is also not certain yet whether all three skip today. So we probably won't know more until tomorrow.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#12) will improve today, we will see how much. Besides P3D (#13), the AMD Users (#14) also appear to take it easy today, as do [H] (#15) and LITOMYSL (#25). This also means that our statistics will not reflect the real potential of these teams until the next but one throw.

TFFE (#16) confirms the first day, but will probably have to let 2ch (#17) and Meisterkuehler (#20) pass. Both seem to skip today and were much stronger in their first throw. However, BC (#18) and UBT (#19) could be beatable for the rookie.

BOINCstats (#21) is already clearly falling behind, as is Russia (#22). It is completely open what TSBT (#23) can still achieve. The first day was already no revelation, but the Scots will have to drop their pants or lift their kilts on the next throw at the latest.

BOINC Synergy (#24) is improving today, but it is still not very much. And Crystal Dream (#26) seems to be allergic to the javelin.

I will skip the Obstacle Run (Universe@Home) today, because things are rather calm there at the moment. Therefore, quickly over to the

Cross Country (PrimeGrid)
TAAT really seems to be up for it again this year. The scoreboard currently shows a clear lead ahead of [H] (#2) and TSBT (#3). While TSBT comes as no surprise, [H] is showing their potential here. They also won their only medal so far in the Cross Country, so anyone betting on them collapsing might be disappointed.

This poses a real challenge, particularly for P3D (#4). The Green Planet tends to struggle in this kind of disciplines, and this could also have consequences in the overall standings. SG (#5) has done better here in the past and it remains to be seen whether they can still mount an attack.

CNT (#6) is still lying in wait and is currently accompanied by RKN (#7), who have started very well. Ukraine is doing their best Pentathlon since 2011 at the moment. Currently in #8, they confirm their performance in the other two disciplines. However, danger is looming. TC (#9) is approaching rapidly, and BOINC.Italy (#10) is also closing the gap.

OCN (#11) and AMD Users (#12) follow. AF is only in #13 at the moment, which is quite a long way from the action. They may leave EVGA (#14) and LITOMYSL (#15) behind, but is this really their aspiration?

2ch (#16) and BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#17) are currently running at a similar pace, whereas Meisterkuehler (#18) and Chinese Dream (#19) have already fallen behind a bit. They are followed by BOINCstats (#20), BOINC Synergy (#21), TFFE (#22), BC (#23), and UBT (#24), who are all separated by similar gaps. However, these gaps can easily be overcome with a strong spurt. Behind them, Russia (#25) and Crystal Dream (#26) complete the field.

Overall Standings
Because of the Javelin Throw, there are of course gaps here that we have to keep in mind. This means that the teams have to remain watchful.

TAAT leads the field clearly. The cause is the Javelin Throw, so the field will come closer together again. P3D (#2) will definitely gain points. RKN is in #3 at the moment, followed by SG (#4).

[H] has dropped to #5 because of the javelin, whereas CNT (#6) is performing fairly consistently. Surprisingly, AF finds themselves in #7, despite the weak performance in the Cross Country. TSBT will see #8 only as a transit station; again, the javelin is the reason to be optimistic about their future.

Ukraine (#9) is rewarded for their consistent results and can keep OCN (#10) and TC (#11) at bay. BOINC.Italy follows in #12, and is in turn followed by EVGA (#13) and AMD Users (#14).

Behind them there is already a small gap to BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#15). Looking ahead may be deceiving for the kangaroos, I would recommend looking back to Chinese Dream (#16), Meisterkuehler (#17), 2ch (#18), and TFFE (#19). LITOMYSL (#20) will probably also poke in there, as the team is doing nothing with the javelin today. UBT currently holds #21, followed by BOINCstats (#22) and the Confederation (#23). Both are separated by only a single point, which promises many hours of fun ahead.

It remains to be seen whether BOINC Synergy (#24) can still intervene here. It is possible. At least, neither Russia (#25) nor Crystal Dream (#26) appear to be a threat from behind at the moment.

The third discipline is underway and so there is a lot of movement in the field. And slowly the teams start to reveal their tactical plans at the Javelin Throw.

Jour 5 - 09/05/2022 - 5e dose​

Mesdames et Messieurs, l'heure est venue de prendre la prochaine dose d'énergie et de motivation. Aujourd'hui, nous avons un mélange tout particulier d'obstacle changeant, d'une note de cross-country pleine de poussière et de javelot métallique. Un mélange inimitable qui vous transportera dans de nouvelles sphères. Laissez l'élixir agir et vous en voudrez davantage.

Lancer de javelot (NumberFields@home)
Le deuxième lancer est en cours et provoque pas mal de tumulte. Pour mémoire: le troisième meilleur lancé sera compté, et actuellement c'est encore le deuxième meilleur. Le résultat intermédiaire d'aujourd'hui est donc à prendre avec des pincettes.

Aujourd'hui, TAAT semble également profiter pleinement de ce deuxième lancer, elle s'est placée en tête et bénéficie du fait que la Planète verte passe son tour. Il est vrai que nous retrouvons P3D actuellement au rang 13.

RKN est actuellement 2e et fait encore un bon lancer, ce qui peut tout à fait être un avantage tactique pour les autres disciplines au final. L'AF suit à la 3e place, mais il n'est pas encore clair s'il y aura une amélioration.

SG (#4) progresse clairement aujourd'hui, mais semble toujours rester nettement en retrait de ses capacités. Il me semble que c'est aussi le cas de CNT (#5). Il faudra attendre le reste de la journée. OCN (#6) et EVGA (#7) sont en train de confirmer leur premier lancer, tandis que l'Ukraine (#8) s'améliore.

Pour l'heure, on ne voit pas de progression chez BOINC.Italy (#9), Chinese Dream (#10) et TC (#11). On ne peut toutefois pas être sûr, non plus, que toutes les trois font l'impasse sur la journée. On y verra plus clair demain.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#12) s'améliorera aujourd'hui, reste à voir de combien. Outre P3D (#13), les AMD Users (#14) semblent aussi lancer un javelot mou, tout comme [H] (#15) et LITOMYSL (#25). Mais cela signifie aussi que nos statistiques montreront le bon résultat pour ces équipes au plus tôt dans deux lancers.

TFFE (#16) confirme la première journée, mais elle devra certainement laisser passer 2ch (#17) et les Meisterkuehler (#20). Toutes deux semblent passer leur tour, car elles étaient nettement plus fortes au premier lancer. En revanche, BC (#18) et UBT (#19) peuvent être battues par la bleue.

BOINCstats (#21) reste drôlement en arrière, tout comme Russia (#22). Les paris sont ouverts sur les futures performances de TSBT (#23). Le premier jour n'était déjà pas une révélation, mais au plus tard au prochain lancer les Écossais vont devoir baisser leur froc ou lever leur kilt.

BOINC Synergy, au rang 24, s'améliore certes aujourd'hui, mais ce n'est pas encore beaucoup. Et Crystal Dream (#26) semble être allergique au javelot.

Je passerai sur la Course d'obstacles (Universe@Home) aujourd'hui, car les choses sont plutôt calmes là-bas. Passons donc vite au

Cross-country (PrimeGrid)
TAAT semble en vouloir encore cette année. Leur nette avance est actuellement inscrite au tableau. Elle est suivie par [H] (#2) et TSBT (#3). Tandis que TSBT ne surprend pas, [H] montre tout son potentiel. Elle a décroché son unique médaille de discipline jusqu'à présent au Cross-country aussi, donc ceux qui misent sur une baisse pourraient être déçus.

Cela en fait un véritable défi pour P3D (#4). Dans ce genre d'épreuves, la Planète verte a tendance à s'affaiblir, ce qui peut avoir des conséquences sur le classement général. SG (#5) aussi a déjà été meilleure ici et il reste à voir si elle lancera encore une attaque.

CNT (#6) est encore aux aguets et se fait accompagner momentanément par RKN (#7), qui a très bien démarré. L'Ukraine fait actuellement son meilleur Pentathlon depuis 2011: actuellement au rang 8, elle confirme la performance des deux autres disciplines. Mais un danger guette: TC (#9) est en approche rapide et même BOINC.Italy (#10) réduit son retard.

Suivent OCN (#11) et AMD Users (#12). L'AF se retrouve seulement à la 13e place pour l'heure, ce qui est bien loin de l'orchestre. Elle peut réussir à laisser EVGA (#14) ou LITOMYSL (#15) derrière elle, mais ça ne peut pas être leur seule prétention?

2ch (#16) et BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#17) progressent actuellement à vitesse similaire, tandis que les Meisterkuehler (#18) et Chinese Dream (#19) ont déjà pris un peu de retard. Derrière, nous trouvons BOINCstats (#20), BOINC Synergy (#21), TFFE (#22), BC (#23) et UBT (#24) à intervalles quasi réguliers. Ceux-ci peuvent toutefois être comblés rapidement avec un puissant sprint. Russia (#25) et Crystal Dream (#26) forment la queue du peloton.

Classement général
Bien sûr, le Lancer de javelot ouvre des brèches ici et là que nous devrons surveiller. Cela signifie que les équipes devront continuer à être sur leurs gardes.

TAAT mène le peloton avec une nette avance. La raison en est le Lancer de javelot. Le peloton se resserrera donc à nouveau. P3D (#2) gagnera définitivement encore des points. Actuellement, RKN est à la 3e place, suivie par SG (#4).

À cause du Javelot, [H] est tombée à la 5e place, tandis que CNT (#6) est assez stable. Étonnamment, l'AF se retrouve à la 7e place, malgré sa faiblesse au Cross-country. TSBT ne verra le rang 8 que comme passage, là aussi, le Javelot étant la raison de leur optimisme.

L'Ukraine, au rang 9, est récompensée pour ses résultats stables et arrive à garder OCN (#10) et TC (#11) en échec. BOINC.Italy suit au rang 12, et est poursuivie par EVGA (#13) et AMD Users (#14).

Ensuite, un petit espace s'est déjà ouvert devant BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#15). Pour les kangourous, la vue vers l'avant est trompeuse. Je leur recommanderais plutôt de regarder en arrière sur Chinese Dream (#16), Meisterkuehler (#17), 2ch (#18) et TFFE (#19).

LITOMYSL (#20) devrait aussi piquer ce groupe, car l'équipe ne fait rien au Lancer de javelot aujourd'hui. UBT se trouve actuellement au rang 21, suivie par BOINCstats (#22) et la Confederation (#23). Ces deux équipes ne sont séparées que d'un point, ce qui présage de nombreuses heures amusantes.

Reste à voir si BOINC Synergy (#24) peut encore y mettre son grain de sel. Tout est possible. Au moins, aucun danger ne semble émaner de Russia (#25) ou de Crystal Dream (#26).

La troisième discipline est en cours et provoque pas mal de mouvements dans le peloton. Et les plans tactiques des équipes se révèlent doucement au Lancer de javelot.

Tag 5 - 09.05.2022 - 5. Dosis​

Meine sehr geehrten Damen und Herren, es wird Zeit für die nächste Dosis Energie und Motivation. Heute mit einem ganz besonderen Mix aus wechselhaftem Hindernis, staubiger Note Querfeldein und metallischem Speer. Eine unnachahmliche Mischung, die Sie in neue Sphären bringen wird. Lassen Sie es wirken und Sie werden mehr davon wollen.

Speerwerfen (NumberFields@home)
Der zweite Wurf steht an und sorgt für kräftig Wirbel. Zur Erinnerung, der drittbeste Wurf zählt, was aktuell jetzt noch der zweitbeste ist. Daher bitte den aktuellen Zwischenstand mit Vorsicht genießen.

TAAT scheint heute auch den zweiten Wurf voll zu nutzen, hat sich so an die Spitze gesetzt und profitiert dabei vom Aussetzen des Grünen Planeten. P3D finden wir derzeit übrigens auf #13.

RKN liegt derzeit auf #2 und legt wieder einen guten Wurf hin, was am Ende taktisch durchaus bei anderen Disziplinen ein Vorteil sein kann. AF folgt auf #3, wobei hier noch offen ist, ob hier heute noch eine Steigerung kommt.

SG (#4) steigert sich heute deutlich, scheint aber noch deutlich hinter den Möglichkeiten zu bleiben. Dies erscheint mir auch bei CNT (#5) der Fall. Hier warten wir den Verlauf des Tages ab. OCN (#6) und EVGA (#7) sind dabei, ihren ersten Wurf zu bestätigen, wogegen die Ukraine (#8) sich steigert.

Eine Steigerung ist bei BOINC.Italy (#9), Chinese Dream (#10) und TC (#11) derzeit nicht zu erkennen. Ob alle drei heute auslassen, ist aber auch nicht gesichert. Mehr können wir daher wohl erst morgen sagen.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#12) wird sich heute steigern, wie viel, werden wir noch sehen. Neben P3D (#13) scheinen auch die AMD Users (#14) heute einen ruhigen Speer zu werfen, genauso wie [H] (#15) und LITOMYSL (#25). Das bedeutet aber auch, dass unsere Statistik frühestens beim übernächsten Wurf bei diesen Teams das richtige Ergebnis zeigen wird.

TFFE (#16) bestätigt den ersten Tag, wird aber wohl 2ch (#17) und die Meisterkuehler (#20) noch vorbeilassen müssen. Beide setzen wohl heute aus und waren beim ersten Wurf deutlich stärker. BC (#18) und UBT (#19) könnten aber für den Rookie schlagbar sein.

BOINCstats (#21) fällt da schon deutlich ab, ebenso Russia (#22). Was TSBT (#23) noch leisten kann, ist völlig offen. Bereits der erste Tag war keine Offenbarung, aber spätestens beim nächsten Wurf müssen die Schotten die Hosen runterlassen oder den Schottenrock heben.

BOINC Synergy auf #24 steigert sich zwar heute, aber das ist noch nicht sehr viel. Und Crystal Dream (#26) scheint auf Speer allergisch zu reagieren.

Den Hindernislauf (Universe@Home) lasse ich heute einmal aus, da es aktuell dort eher ruhiger zugeht. Deshalb schnell zum

Querfeldein (PrimeGrid)
TAAT scheint es dieses Jahr wieder wissen zu wollen. Die deutliche Führung steht derzeit an der Wand, gefolgt von [H] (#2) und TSBT (#3). Während TSBT nicht überrascht, zeigt [H] sein Potential. Ihre bisher einzige Einzelmedaille holten sie auch im Querfeldein, wer also auf ein Einbrechen setzt, könnte enttäuscht werden.

Das macht es gerade auch für P3D (#4) zu einer echten Herausforderung. Bei derartigen Disziplinen schwächelt der Grüne Planet gerne einmal, was für die Gesamtwertung durchaus folgen haben kann. Auch SG (#5) war hier schonmal besser unterwegs und es bleibt abzuwarten, ob hier noch ein Angriff erfolgen wird.

CNT (#6) liegt noch auf der Lauer und lässt sich gerade von RKN (#7) begleiten, die sehr gut gestartet sind. Den besten Pentathlon seit 2011 legt derzeit die Ukraine hin. Derzeit auf #8 bestätigt man die Leistung der anderen beiden Disziplinen. Allerdings droht Gefahr. TC (#9) rückt derzeit kräftig heran und auch BOINC.Italy (#10) verringert den Rückstand.

Es folgen OCN (#11) und AMD Users (#12). Nur auf #13 ist derzeit AF zu finden, was doch arg weit weg von der Musik ist. EVGA (#14) oder LITOMYSL (#15) hinter sich zu lassen, mag gelingen, kann doch aber nicht der Anspruch sein?

2ch (#16) und BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#17) sind derzeit in ähnlichem Tempo unterwegs, wogegen die Meisterkuehler (#18) und Chinese Dream (#19) schon etwas abgefallen sind. Dahinter folgen BOINCstats (#20), BOINC Synergy (#21), TFFE (#22), BC (#23) und UBT (#24) in fast regelmäßigen Abstand. Dieser lässt sich aber schnell mit einem kräftigen Spurt überwinden. Dahinter beschließen Russia (#25) und Crystal Dream (#26) das Feld.

Gesamtwertung
Wegen des Speerwerfens tun sich natürlich hier Lücken auf, die wir im Blick haben müssen. Das bedeutet für die Teams, weiter wachsam zu bleiben.

TAAT führt das Feld an und zwar deutlich. Ursache ist das Speerwerfen, das Feld wird also wieder stärker zusammenrücken. P3D (#2) wird definitiv noch Punkte gutmachen. Derzeit auf #3 ist RKN platziert, gefolgt von SG (#4).

[H] ist wegen des Speers auf #5 zurückgefallen, wogegen CNT (#6) recht stabil unterwegs ist. AF findet sich erstaunlicherweise auf #7 wieder, trotz Schwäche beim Querfeldein. TSBT wird #8 nur als Durchgang sehen, auch hier ist der Speer Grund zum zukünftigen Optimismus.

Die Ukraine auf #9 wird für ihre stabilen Ergebnisse belohnt und kann OCN (#10) und TC (#11) in Schach halten. BOINC.Italy folgt auf #12, die wiederum EVGA (#13) und AMD Users (#14) hinter sich haben.

Danach klafft schon eine kleine Lücke auf BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#15). Für die Kängurus ist der Blick nach vorn trügerisch, ich würde empfehlen, eher nach hinten auf Chinese Dream (#16), Meisterkuehler (#17), 2ch (#18) und TFFE (#19) zu schauen. Auch LITOMYSL (#20) wird wohl dort noch reinstechen, da das Team heute beim Speer nichts tut. UBT hält derzeit #21, gefolgt von BOINCstats (#22) und der Confederation (#23). Beide trennt nur ein Punkt voneinander, was viele spaßige Stunden erwarten lässt.

Ob BOINC Synergy (#24) da noch dazwischenfunken kann, wird sich zeigen. Möglich ist es. Zumindest scheint derzeit weder durch Russia (#25) noch Crystal Dream (#26) Gefahr von hinten zu drohen.

Die dritte Disziplin läuft und so gibt es kräftig Bewegung im Feld. Und beim Speer werden die taktischen Pläne der Teams langsam offenbart.

• Kann TAAT die Führung beim Querfeldein verteidigen?
• Greift SG beim Querfeldein P3D an?
• Wann macht P3D den nächsten Speerwurf?
