Brenner LG 8525B will sich nicht flashen lassen

Servus,

ich habe mir Hier die aktuelle Firmware für meinen Brenner geholt. Nachdem ich diese entpackt und ausgeführt habe, kommt folgende Meldung:

Es ist aber definitiv die richtige Firmware für meinen Brenner. Es ist auch kein OEM Brenner oder so was, ich hab den extra nochmal ausgebaut Ich habe auch die ältere Firmware und Firmware von einem anderen Server probiert. Immer das gleiche

Dies steht in der readme der FW:

If you want to upgrade F/Ware of GCE-8525B ver 1.01, then you refer to the following.

Improper processing of this upgrade will damage the drive.
LG Electronics is not responsible or liable for improper installation of this upgrade.
This firmware upgrade is for firmware versions below 1.01 of the LG Branded GCE-8525B CD-RW Drives.
The ROM version is stamped on the top of the drive below the serial number.
This upgrade is not designed for drives manufactured HP, IBM, Compaq, Dell or any other OEM
{Original Equipment Manufacturer} customers, please contact the OEM for all firmware updates
and support for your OEM drive.


Please follow the hardware setup instructions below.
1.Have the CD-RW Drive connected to the secondary IDE channel as a master drive alone.
2.Do not touch or interfere with the drive while the FIRMWARE is being upgraded.
3.If an error occurs during the upgrade process, or the upgrade process is cancelled
during this process, damage to the drive can occur. This is your responsibility.
LG Cannot be held liable for mistakes or errors that occur during this upgrade process.

To upgrade Windows XP, 2000, ME and 98(only windows mode)

1. Remove inserted disc in CD-RW Drive and Connect to only master of seconary port.
2. Download the GCE-8525B101(EW).zip file and Extract the zip file to the folder(ex: c:\>temp)
3. Check the Execution file and TXT file[GCE-8525B101(win) & README(ew).TXT]
4. Excute to GCE-8525B101(win).exe

eg: c:\temp\>GCE-8525B101(win).exe (Double click)
Firmware upgrade will be automatically started

IMPORTANT- DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE DRIVE DURING THIS PROCESS.

When the UPGRADE is complete the screen should indicate FIRMWARE UPDATE SUCCESSFUL.
Remove the bootable disk and Re-boot your PC.

NOTICE

1.You have to cd-rw drive connect to secondary master alone.
2.Don't touch while F/ware upgrading
3.If it happen to problem when you upgrade to F/ware,it is that your responsibility.
Because you are mistake F/Ware upgrade
Therefore you must be care for F/Ware upgrade.

Ich habe die Datei nach dem herunterladen entpackt und anschliessend die Exe Datei angeklickt. Den Brenner habe ich sogar wie in der Readme beschrieben alleine am secondary Port gehängt. Ich weiss nicht was ich noch anders machen sollte.
Hat vielleicht jemand ne genaue Anleitung wie ich das unter DOS hinbekomme?

edit: ist es eigentlich bei diesem Modell normal, dass der Brenner - z.B. im Gerätemanager - als folgendes Modell erkannt wird > HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8525B ?

Hi,
kann Dir zwar nicht viel weiterhelfen, aber hast Du mal versucht, den DMA-Modus für den Brenner im Gerätemanager auszuschalten? Musste ich irgendwann mal machen...

Ach ja, mein 8520B-Brenner wird genauso wie Dein 8525B im Gerätemanager erkannt, bis auf die letzte Zahl versteht sich. Schein also zu stimmen!

Danke für den Hinweis, aber DMA hatte ich auch vorher auf Pio Mode gestellt.
Zumindest ist das mit der Bezeichnung schonmal geklärt

btw: was ist eigentlich der Unterschied zwischen DMA Modus 2 ( beide CD Laufwerke ) und DMA Modus 5 ( beide Festplatten )?
