Scheinbar sind die Load-Balancer von Microsoft den gewaltigen Ansturm an Downloads kaum gewachsen, manche Server sind einigermaßen schnell aber eine großer Teil zwischen mäig und Schnecke bis hin zu Verbindungsabbrüchen oder gar keiner Verbindung.
Hoffentlich wird das morgen besser.

Ich habe soeben satte 28 Updates mit voller Geschwindigkeit herunterladen können.

Scheinbar ist MS selbst auch überfordert, nicht alle Seiten scheinen auf aktuellem Stand zu sein.
Bei MS11-025 gibt es updates für die C++-Runtimes aber nur bei C++2005 gibt es downloadlinks für x86, x64 und IA64, bei 2008 und 2010 gibt es nur links für x86. Über Windowsupdate bekommt man aber die Aktualisierungen für 2008 und 2010 in x64 (und wohl auch für IA64).

Ich habe DSL1.000 und musste ca 120MB runterladen. Inkl. Installation, Neustart war meine Monsterkiste (Quadcore, 3,7GHz, 8GB RAM, RAID 0 aus 3*500GB) effektiv 30mins Minimum nicht vernünftig benutzbar ! Kann man das nicht vernünftiger verteilen ?! Es gibt nicht nur 75% Bürger mit DSL50.000 aufwärts, die restlichen 25% enthalten auch absolute 1-2% mit DSL1.000 und weniger.
Was kann MS dafür das du keine bessere leitung hast, bzw bei dir evtl. keine höhere Bandbreite möglich.

Eigentlich ist heute 6000 oder 16000 doch suzusagen Standard.
Letzlich nützt dir auch ne bessere Verbindung nix wenn nich vom gegenüber ausreichende Übertragung geboten wird, sprich die Server das entsprechend aufteilen bei höheren Aufkommen.
Du könntest den DL und auch Inst auf Zeiten verlegen wo der PC weniger gebraucht wird.
