Der kostenlose Audio Player AIMP ist in der neuen Version 2.61 Build 560 verfügbar. Das Projekt des russischen Entwicklers Artyom Izmajlov orientiert sich stark an <a href="http://www.planet3dnow.de/cgi-bin/newspub/viewnews.cgi?category=2&id=1264039864">Winamp</a>, kommt jedoch viel schlanker daher. AIMP kann zwar keine Videos abspielen, unterstützt jedoch die gängigsten Audio-Formate. Das Programm unterstützt viele Sprachen, u.a. Deutsch, und sollte diese bei der Installation erkennen. Mit der neuen Version wurden einige Fehler behoben.

AIMP läuft unter Windows ab Windows 2000.
