DSL Router Firewall

Also ich wei nich ob es das Thema schon mal gab aba es is mir zu viel durchzusuchen. Ich hab n Spiel dass ich übers internet spiele. Und da kann man seine eigene "Party" hosten jedoch geht das bei mir nicht. Ein Freund meint dass es deswegen nicht geht weil der Firewall von meinem Router das verhindert.
Wie kann ich es einstellen dass es das Spiel erlaubt?

Etwas mehr Informationen zu dem Spiel/ Router und möglicherweise eingesetzter Sicherheitssoftware auf deinem PC wäre recht hilfreich.

Es kann sein das dein Spiel eine Portweiterleitung von Port (x,y,z) auf die IP deines Rechners benötigt.So weiss der Router, dass, wenn irgendwas an dem Port ankommt, es an den Rechner mit der voreingestellten IP weiterzuleiten ist.
Also Handbücher rauskramen. Vom Router und vom Spiel. Da steht drin wie das geht, bzw. welche Ports das sind.

Das Spiel is ewig alt, man kann nich viel einstellen. Handbuch gibts nich das kann man ausm internet runterladen.

Gut, immerhin wissen wir jetzt das das Spiel alt ist. Poste doch einfach den namen des Spieles und die genaue Bezeichnung des Routers.

also damit man mich nich falsch versteht. Das Spiel is eig nur ein spiel dass man sich ausm internet runterladen kann. Es heißt Liero X(treme) und man kann es nicht kaufen.

Wir haben ne Fritz Box und ich hab versucht dort den Firewall auszustellen hab da aba bemerkt dass es gar keinen Firewall hat. An was liegt das Problem dann

Also ich kann das spielen ohne Portfreigaben (auch Fritzbox). Hast du noch ne Softwarefirewall oder sonstige Sicherheitssoftware auf dem Rechner?

das spielen ist nicht das Problem sondern das HOSTEN. Wenn ich ein Spiel hosten will geht es nicht. Sorry wenn ich mich unklar ausdrück^^

Als erstes müsst ihr in euren Router kommen, möglicherweise wisst ihr schon wie das geht, ansonsten tut ihr folgendes:

Start-->Ausführen: cmd-->ipconfig

Jetzt notiert ihr eure IP und den Standartgateway.
Danach gebt ihr eure IP in die adressleiste des I-explorers ein. Sollte das nicht funktionieren versucht ihrs mit dem Standartgateway.

Nun seit ihr in eurem Router. Da jeder Router unterschiedlich ist kann ich euch von hier an nicht mehr allzuviel helfen.

Was ihr zu tun habt ist:

Ihr müsst eine neue Portfreigabe erstellen, wobei das Protokoll UDP und der Port 23400 sein sollte.

Hosting a server

This comes up a lot so i thought i'd make a thread about issues when hosting a server. If people have any helpful input or additions, reply here.

* If you want to make your server public you need to make sure that the 'Register Server' checkbox is ticked. This is on the initial host setup menu.
By public, i mean your server listed on the public server list for other people to see.

* If you have a firewall running, you need to make sure it will allow incoming traffic on the port that your server is using. By default, LieroX will use port 23400.
You can change the port it uses by going into Options and clicking on the System tab.
Some firewalls have an application setup. So you'll need to add the LieroX.exe application to your firewalls allow list.

* If you are connected via a router, you need to setup a map or forwarding on a particular port.
To do this you need to get your local IP address and you also need access to your routers admin section. This is usually done via a web browser.

All routers are different, so this is only generic information:
o First you need to get your local IP address. Go into the command prompt. Do this by going to the Start menu and clicking run.
For win95/win98/winMe users type "command".
For Win2k/winXP users type "cmd". Then hit enter.
In the command prompt, type "ipconfig". It should show your local IP address. It'll be something like 192.168.*.* or 10.0.*.*
Make a note of this address and close the command prompt.
o Next go into your router config setup. This is usually done via web browser and entering your router's IP address into the browsers address bar.
The address varies, so you need to check out your router manual.
o Next go into the router's mapping/forwarding menu:
The destination/target field will be your local IP address.
The destination port will be your LieroX server port.
The source/gateway/trigger port should be the LieroX server port too.
The interface/protocol should be UDP

Note that your gateway/proxy address may be different then your actual net address. If this happens, then your server will not register correctly on the master server list. Just get your proper net address and give it to other people to join manually.
