We have started using a mirrored download server at the Albert Einstein Institute (AEI) in Golm bei Potsdam, near Berlin, Germany. Hosts whose timezone offset from UTC is closer to UWM (UTC-7 hours) will continue to get data and executables from UWM. Those hosts whose offset from UTC is closer to the AEI (UTC+1 hour) will get data and executables from AEI. This should give faster and more reliable downloads for everyone. Note that if a download fails from the first server, the alternate will also be tried. Please report any problems or strange behavior to the message boards.

Erstmal danke an Sir Ulli für die Infos.

Wieso wird eigentlich die gleiche WU mehrmals berechnet ? Ich habe gerade mal auf 'Update' geklickt und jetzt ist unter 'Work' die gleiche WU nochmal gelistet, mit etwas anderer Bezeichnung. Im Projekt-Folder ist auch nur eine WU und in der Antwort des Schedulers findet sich '<generated_locally/>'.



Edit: O.k., schon geklärt:

One detail though, the large files are data files, not work units. The work units use the data files to perform certain operations on, if a certain datafile is needed for a WU it will d/l the data file.

Don't worry, the very large chunk of data that you had to download will last you quite a while. The work units are actually templates describing how to analyze said "chunk o' data". The WU's are generated rather than downloaded. Dev's say the large 11MB data chunks should last you a month or so.
