Ich selber habe mit Wasserkühlung ja nichts am Hut aber ein bekannter Hersteller (EKWB) scheint in Schwierigkeiten zu sein.

Auslöser ist ein Video dazu von Gamers Nexus:

Die Diskussion hat ja jetzt über das Wochenende definitiv an Fahrt aufgenommen. Wird am Ende wohl das Aus für EKWB bedeuten. Denke nicht, dass man aus diesem Sumpf wieder rauskommt. Wenn ich mich recht entsinne, gab es vor einigen jahren doch schon Mal eine Phase, wo alle über EKWB geschimpft haben. Es ging um Gewährleistungsansprüche usw, dass da vieles einfach abgelehnt wurde. Vielleicht war das schon der Anfang vom Ende...

Vor allem, damit es was auszuplaudern gibt, müssen die Vorwürfe ja zumindest in Teilen der Wahrheit entsprechen. Getroffene Hunde bellen, oder wie sagt man?

Mittlerweile, also heute Vormittag, wurde der noch außenstehende Betrag auf meinem Bankkonto validiert. Man muss fair bleiben und auch das natürlich noch ergänzen. Auch wenn es mich in dieser Hinsicht offensichtlich ruhigstellt, sind meine Gedanken doch immer noch bei den Kollegen, deren Existenz an den ausstehenden Lohnzahlungen hängt...............

Naja ich finde es halt auch nicht gerade klug wenn man eine Niesche in einer Niesche ist und Produkte anbietet die man nichtmal selber fertigt.
Aber gut, die werden sich dabei ja was gedacht haben vermute ich, aber bei CB vermutet man auch Probleme in diese Richtung.
Die Mindestbestellmengen sollen wohl fast immer oberhalb des zu erwartenden Absatzes gelegen haben aber ob das nun fundiertes Wissen oder geraten ist kann ich natürlich nicht sagen.

Aquacomputer und Alphacool stellen glaube ich selber her, bedeutet natürlich häufig ein auch das die Lieferzeiten mal länger sein können aber gerade Alphacool hat ja auch so "coole" Aktionen wie: "Es gibt für deine GPU keinen Kühler, schick uns eine Anfrage, wenn wir potential sehen sendest du uns deine Karte und als Dankeschön bekommst du deinen Kühler umsonst"
Habe ich tatsächlich sogar schonmal gemacht ... gab als extra sogar noch eine Tasse und ein Mauspad.

Für mich ist es mit EKWB aber auch kein Verlust, ich hatte noch nie etwas von denen in all den Jahren

It is true that some of EK's external contractors and business partners have experienced delayed payments. We sincerely apologize for the difficulties this has caused them and the lack of adequate communication.

In February 2024, I, Edvard König, resumed the CEO position to return EK to its respected path. Several issues have already been addressed, including the amended filing of US taxes. We have realigned our focuses while our vision and strategic orientations have remained unchanged. There is still a considerable distance to go, and we immediately began by implementing the following key actions:

• Communicating openly any delays and uncertainties that affect outstanding payments, starting with those concerning our personnel.

• Reconciling the relations and communication between all subsidiaries and entities of EK Water Blocks.

• Improving the transparency and frequency of internal communication with all employees concerning our current situation.

• Resolving any outstanding overtime work issues of EK employees. Anyone with a claim, please contact us so we can check everything and make things right. For that purpose, we are introducing a dedicated email address: reachout@ekwb.com.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our community, customers, and partners during this time. We are committed to fulfilling our financial obligations and regaining your trust. Our mission to elevate computers for a better world remains at the forefront of our focus as we move forward.
