Am heutigen Tag hat AMD die Preise einiger Athlon 64 X2 Prozessoren wie angekündigt um bis zu 12 Prozent gesenkt. Allerdings gab es auch einige leichte Anpassungen nach oben.
So wurden die Modelle Athlon 64 X2 BE-2350 und Athlon 64 X2 BE-2300 - beides in 65nm produzierte Prozessoren mit einer TDP von 45 Watt - um fast 6 Prozent teurer. Ähnliches widerfuhr dem Sempron LE-1150, der sich um fast 14 Prozent verteuerte.
Bei den Modellen mit AMDs neuem Namensschema gab es allerdings auch mit dem Athlon 64 X2 BE-2400, dem Sempron LE-1100, dem Sempron LE-1200 und Sempron LE-1250 Zuwachs zu verzeichnen. Alle sind in 65nm-Fertigung hergestellt und besitzen eine TDP von 45 Watt.
Den drei letzten Modellen der Athlon 64 Reihe mit einem Kern scheint kein langes Leben mehr beschieden zu sein, denn bei diesen gab es mit bis 28 Prozent die deutlichsten Preisabschläge.

So wurden die Modelle Athlon 64 X2 BE-2350 und Athlon 64 X2 BE-2300 - beides in 65nm produzierte Prozessoren mit einer TDP von 45 Watt - um fast 6 Prozent teurer. Ähnliches widerfuhr dem Sempron LE-1150, der sich um fast 14 Prozent verteuerte.
Bei den Modellen mit AMDs neuem Namensschema gab es allerdings auch mit dem Athlon 64 X2 BE-2400, dem Sempron LE-1100, dem Sempron LE-1200 und Sempron LE-1250 Zuwachs zu verzeichnen. Alle sind in 65nm-Fertigung hergestellt und besitzen eine TDP von 45 Watt.
Den drei letzten Modellen der Athlon 64 Reihe mit einem Kern scheint kein langes Leben mehr beschieden zu sein, denn bei diesen gab es mit bis 28 Prozent die deutlichsten Preisabschläge.

Dumme Frage: Das neue Namensschema wird ja auch für alle zukünftigen Modelle (sprich, Phenoms, etcpp) gelten - kann mir mal einer das System dahinter erklären?
Kann man aus den Zahlen was herauslesen wie z.B. die Taktfrequenz oder den L2-Cache (sprich, eine OPN für den versierten Kunden), oder wird das der reinen Willkür von AMD obliegen, wie was genannt wird (so wie bei Intel auch...)

Wenn Intel ne aksolut sinnfreie Umbenenn-Aktion startet kann AMD das ja schließlich nicht auf sich beruhen lassen. Es reicht ja nicht, dass es von fast jeden X2 schon 2 Versionen mit selbem Rating und verschiedenen Specs gibt.

Allerdings tauchen mit dem LE-1600 und LE-1620 sehr ähnliche neue Modelle auf, natürlich in 65nm und mit 45W TDP. Korrigiere mich: die Single-Core-Athlon-LE haben 1MB L2 (siehe Heise-Ticker). Den (ausstattungstechnischen) Platz der Single-Core-Athlons nehmen nun also die höherwertigen, ebenfalls (fast) neuen, Sempron LE mit 512 kB L2-Cache (ebenfalls single Core, ebenfalls 45W TDP, ebenfalls 65nm) ein, die kleineren Modelle haben wie die alten Semprons 256 kB L2, jene mit nur 128 KB L2 verschwinden somit.
Uhh! Großer Marketingfehler, meines Erachtens...könnte sehr leicht als "Verarsche" verstanden werden...und da der X3 sicherlich nicht erst seit 1Monat als Idee in den Köpfen der AMD-Leute rumgeistert...wird es wohl auf Verarsche aus sein -.-

Wie schon üblich bei AMD hat die Tippse für die Preisliste keinen Ahnung von Technik und kopiert einfach irgendwelche Angaben zusammen.
Teure Semprone sind auch schon lange Tradition bei AMD. Das ergibt zwar keinen Sinn, aber dafür schreibt AMD ja auch rote Zahlen.
Es könnte aber ja sein, daß AMD bei der Verfügbarkeit der LE-16x0 Reihe Einschränkungen macht. Die kommen ja nur noch für begrenzte Zeit als Nebenprodukt der 90nm Fertigung und dürften bis Anf. Q1'2008 dann auslaufen.

Ich bin kein Laie! Aber "mal eben" ein AM2 System zusammenzustellen ist schon eine Herausforderung. Dazu dann noch das nVidia Chipsatz Chaos und der Mist ist perfekt. Jetzt noch die CPUs umbenennen und ich behalte meinen Opteron bis er abfackelt... So einfach ist das...

Natürlich ist es schade, dass das Benennungsschema verkompliziert wird, aber auch daran werden wir uns gewöhnen. Dass man sich vor dem Prozessorkauf erstmal informieren muss ist denke ich auch kein Unterschied zu jetzt.
Und solange Benchmarks nicht verboten werden, kann man sich auch weiterhin kundig machen, welche Leistung welcher Prozessor bringt.
Es wird nicht die letzte Änderung im der Namensgebung sein, denn es kommt schon bald der 10xxx
Hauptsache die Sache hat einen guten Preis und entsprechende Leistung. Bei Intel blickt man ja eben auch wieder durch, es hat halt ein wenig gedauert.

Nachtrag: Dass man endlich direkt den Stromverbrauch sehen kann, ist eine sehr gute Änderung.

Hauptsache die Sache hat einen guten Preis und entsprechende Leistung. Bei Intel blickt man ja eben auch wieder durch, es hat halt ein wenig gedauert.
Für DC ( http://www.planet3dnow.de/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=87 ) wäre natürlich eine Angabe in RAC nütlich.
Nachtrag: Dass man endlich direkt den Stromverbrauch sehen kann, ist eine sehr gute Änderung.

rkinet: stimmt, 90nm. Wann die auslaufen wird man sehen, das hängt schlicht von der Restlaufzeit von Fab30 (vor dem Komplettumbau zu Fab38 ).
manolo: Die Umbenennung scheint mir schon Sinn zu machen, wie sollte man denn schließlich das alte Schema weiterführen: Athlon und Athlon X2 (die 64 muß man ja nicht wirklich weiterführen, ist nur ne redundante zusätzliche Zahl) kann man zwar logisch in Athlon X3 und Athlon X4 weiterführen (bin gespannt, wie das benamt wird, wenn jede CPU eines Tages 64 Kerne oder mehr hat ...), aber was wird aus den guten alten "P-Ratings" (ich weiß, das ist die falsche Bezeichnung, Athlon-TB-Rating wäre korrekt)? Ein Athlon X4 oder gar X8 bekäme dann irgendwann ein Rating von oberhalb 10.000, das wär dann spätestens hirnrissig. Zumal man CPUs mit verschiedenen Kernzahlen (ab Q1/08 ja schon 4 verschiedene Grundtypen) performancemäßig nur schwer vergleichen (also P-raten) kann - hängt halt vom Workload ab.
Da macht es mehr Sinn, Grundtypen kenntlich zu machen, die Einbeziehung des thermischen Rahmens finde ich auch sehr gut, und innerhalb dieser Grundtypen dann ein relatives Rating zu vergeben. Wie die Frequenz der CPU dann tatsächlich ist (und wie groß die Caches etc.) bekommt man bei einem brauchbaren Shop (oder Preissuchmaschine) ja ohnehin zu lesen.
Dumm finde ich nur, daß es in Zukunft 3 Namen gibt: Phenom, Athlon und Sempron. 2 hätten meiner Meinung nach gereicht. Übrigens finde ich diese Kunstnamen immernoch 1000mal sinniger als "Core" und "Core 2", denn diese Benamsung bringt wirklich nur alles durcheinander, da schließlich jeder CPU-Hersteller einen oder mehrere "Core"s anbietet. DAS ist Verarschhung.
Was beim Zusammenbauen eines AM2-Systems nun so schwierig sein soll, verstehe ich nun auch wirklich überhaupt nicht. Ich nehme die passende CPU mit passender Thermik, passender Geschwindigkeit und Kernzahl zum passenden Preis (und sag keiner, man bekäme heutzutage nicht sauschnelle CPUs für verdammt wenig Geld, egal ob vom blauen oder grünen Lager), suche sich ein Board mit den passenden Schnittstellen (wenn es ein aktuelles von einem Markenhersteller mit guten BIOS-Support ist, kann da kaum was schief gehen, wer nur billig billig billig kauft ist selber schuld), evtl. eine Graka, und die passende Menge DDR2 in passender Geschwindigkeit, am besten ebenfalls eine Marke, mit der man gute Erfahrungen gemacht hat. Das dauert bei mir insgesamt bei Alternate keine 5 Minuten. Dasselbe gilt für ein S775-System, wobei ich dort aber schon noch etwas genauer schauen müßte, ob das gewählte Board wirklich die aktuelle CPU unterstützen kann (Chipsatz - FSB), das ist aber offenbar auch etwas besser geworden.
Wer sowas nie macht, sollte ohne Hilfe auch nicht plötzlich damit anfangen, für Unwissende gibt's entweder gute Freunde die helfen oder das Fertigprodukt aus diversen Quellen, bei dem aber trotzdem vor hoffentlich der gute Freund gefragt wird.
Verarsche gibt's wie Sand am Meer beim Blödmarkt oder bei Aldi, den CPU-Herstellern kann ich das kaum vorwerfen.
cruger: danke, interessant! Da die CPUs ja noch nicht auf dem Markt sind, soll AMD die Zeit für das bestmögliche Benamungsschema ruhig nutzen. Man wird sich sicher über Details streiten können, aber so scheint es grundsätzlich in Ordnung zu sein. Spätestens beim Auftauchen von 8-Kernen ist das Schema dann allerdings wieder Makulatur

AMD könnte aber nach Auslaufen der 90nm / F3 z.B. den Kuma teildeaktiviert mit 1M-L3 und 1* Core bringen.
Oder der 'echte' 65nm Lima bekommt gleich 1M-L2, was ca. 10mm2 je Core mehr bedeuten würde aber den Single-Core etwas attraktiver machen könnte und so sich finanziell rechnen würde, besonders wenn die Fab38 mit voller Kapazität zur Verfügung steht.

Offenbar wieder eine Abstufung nach unten mit geringerem Takt und kleinerem Cache (2x 512 statt 2x 1024). Also Desktop 3 Namen, Notebook 3 Namen, nur daß auf dem Desktop, der "dickste" Phenom heißt, und im Notebook Turion
