ATI hat sein CATALYST Grafikkarten-Treiberpaket in der Version 6.9 zum Download freigegeben. Voraussetzung für das CATALYST Control Center (CCC*) ist ein installiertes Microsoft .NET Framework. die linuxversion is ma wieder sehr mager ausgefallen, an der performance wird sich wohl nie was ändern, da is nvidia noch meilen voraus :(
 
Schade das keine X1950 unterstützt wird, hatte heute morgen es aber denoch versucht. Treiber läßt es aber nicht zu ;)

Naja, muß ich wohl noch einen Monat warten. =)

Die sollen sich an Intel nen Beispiel nehmen und Open Source Treiber veröffentlichen. 8-(

Aber soweit wird es wohl nie kommen. :( :(

proprietären nvidia treiber abgelöst, nvidia entwickelt sogar am forcedeth mit.
ich habe die hoffnung noch nicht aufgegeben dass vielleicht in den nächsten
1-2 jahren brauchbare open source treiber am markt sein werden ...
schon allein weil die community an solchen entwickelt, ich weiß nur leider grad

Das ist aber ein Treiber der durch Reverse Engineering entstanden ist. Das kann nicht die Lösung sein. :P
 
PERFORMANCE (3DMARK):

Im Selbstversuch ist mir folgendes beim Test mit 3DMark2005 aufgefallen:
(GraKa X1900XTX Asus)

Cat.6.4: --> 9850 ;D
Cat.6.6: --> 9800 :)
Cat.6.7: --> 9750 :P
Cat.6.8: --> 9650 :o

Setzt sich diese (wohl auf Stabilitätsoptimierungen basierte) Performancereduzierung auch mit dem Cat. 6.9 durch? *noahnung*
 
Für den Linux-Treiber würde ich mich als AMD/ATI ja schämen, aber was soll man erwarten, halt amerikanisches Gelumpe.

Funktioniert der Treiber auch mit Windows 2000?

Denn es finden sich immer widersprüchliche Angaben.
