I could certainly do that. This is one of the best cultural areas of Texas, and there is a lot to see and do. We have something going on around here almost every weekend.

The cost of vacatioing here should be more affordable for you now, since the Dollar has been dropping in value compared to the Euro. Nice hotels here are about $100 a night. In San Antonio, you can visit the River Walk and the Alamo.

Lots of German heritage here to see as well. Many of the towns were established by early German settlers, including mine.

I have been there with German Army, it was great... Big cars, as the same as in USA i think.
during the 5 weeks i have learned much more English, but the "slang" is a problem sometimes
Most of Canadiens and i think most of Americans have very different slanges
It was funny there, we flew over Montreal, Halifax, and any more

We have very mild winters here in Central Texas - snow is rare here, and only light when it does come.

And I have an extra bedroom and bath if any of you need a place to stay.

I might need a place to stay as well, if I can ever afford a nice trip to Germany someday. Besides drinking a lot of German beer, I would like to visit the Nürburgring.

Well, I know the autobahn is getting congested with traffic now - I guess it was bound to start happening eventually. Makes me sad though.

The speed limit on the interstate highway from San Antonio to El Paso, Texas also has a speed limit of 80 mph. So I drive 85-90.

Hat leider etwas gedauert, da ich dem lieben Frieden Willen, den Rechner meiner Freundin 2 Wochen lang nicht dafür nutzen konnte...Die Stromrechnung

Nun bin ich wieder mit beiden Rechnern am Start. Allerdings lasse ich, bei den dicken Brummern von WUs, den 2600+ dann doch lieber aus

Auch wenn die Frage bstimmt schon sehr oft gestellt wurde, ich aber atm zu faul zum suchen bin: QMC scheint es ja nicht als VGA-Client zu geben, aber unterstütz BOINC es, dass ich CPU und GPU gleichzeitig nutze, d.h. auf drei Kernen QMC und auf einem Kern+GPU was Anderes? Wenn will ich Punkte kriegen, daher auch die Frage nach BOINC

Es gibt nur einen GPU Client bei Folding@home der dann auch einen Core mit belegt, geht nur mit ATI/AMD GraKa X1800 und besser (x1600 angeblich auch aber lohnt nicht). Bei passender Hardware wäre also 3x Boinc und GPU/F@H möglich. Aber da währe der F@H SMP Client oder 4x Boinc sinnvoller.

den F@H Client hatte ich mal eine Weile auf meiner x1950xtx laufen, allerdings ist es für mich nur wieder interessant, wenn ich ihn in BOINC einbinden kann... Hat da jemand Erfahrung mit?

EDIT: Eigentlich ist der GPU-Client sehr sinnvoll, da er extreme Rechenleistung ermöglicht.. wesentlich schneller als eine CPU...

@Arach: 100k sollten so lange nicht dauern, ich mache ja schon mit einem Quad etwa 7000 Punkte pro Tag...
