Der Server scheint in der Tat ein paar kleinere Verbindungsprobleme zu haben, aber bei mir laufen die Caches nicht leer, nach 3 Versuchen lüppt der meistens wieder....

Hast du den Standartclienten oder den von Twodee am laufen ?
Das sieht mir nach dem Standart aus aber du hast ja eine cc-config also muss es die von Twodee sein.

Mir geht es ja darum das meiner nicht nach CPU oder GPU WUs fragt sondern meiner fragt nur nach "new Work" *noahnung*

Momentan läuft es seitdem ich den Sever die Anfragezeit bestimmen lasse.
Ab und zu kommt zwar das er keine Arbeit anfordert aber bei der nächsten Anfrage will er wieder welche.

Ich lasse es mal eine Weile laufe und harre der Dinge.

Ich habe nicht den 6.10.13 sondern den 6.10.16 in Kombination mit Twodees Client.
Bis jetzt läuft alles weiter. 48 WUs auf dem Rechner die auch immer nachkommen und ordentlich berechnet werden.

Aber ich beschwöre mal besser nichts herrauf ;D
Ohne Twodees Client läuft es bei mir immer leer.

Mhh.....schwere Entscheidung....der Blick auf die Stats sagt "Den haste gleich, wenn sein Rechner weiter so rumkackt..." aber letzten Endes zählt wohl doch eher der Erfolg des Projektes... *sniff*

Mir gehts eigentlich nur um die Credits fürs Team, ich selbst sehe die nicht so als wichtig an.
Mir sind da die CPU Projekte lieber.

Es gibt eine neue BOINC Entwicklerversion -> 6.10.16, vll hilft das einigen!?

    * client: add <exit_after_finish> option (same as cmdline flag)
    * client: add <skip_cpu_benchmarks> option (same as cmdline flag)
    * client: print message if abort past-deadline unstarted job
    * client: improve message when have NVIDIA drivers but no GPU
    * client: if anonymous platform description (app_info.xml) doesn't specify FLOPS for a GPU app, assume that it runs at CPU peak speed rather than GPU peak speed. Better to be conservative, otherwise job might be aborted due to time limit exceeded.
    * client: on startup, if a coproc needed by a job is missing, set a "coproc_missing" flag rather than aborting the job. If use removes a GPU board while there's a large queue of GPU jobs, they'll stay queued (until their deadline passes). Note: this doesn't fix the situation where user connects via Remote Desktop while GPU jobs are running or queued. We should check for Remote Desktop every minute or so, and stop GPU jobs.
    * client: the get_all_projects_list() RPC doesn't require auth
    * client: don't multiply checkpoint interval (i.e., "disk interval" pref) by # processors. Actually, make it "Tasks checkpoint to disk at most every ..." and change it in the advanced prefs dialog too
    * LIB: Make the is_remote_desktop compilable for all VS versions and SKUs.
    * MGR: Fix initial first connection problem on startup. I'm not sure why it was only happening at startup, there might have been a few crashes because of this issue as well. The basic problem is that wxWidgets had an exception handler around the initial frame creation and when the first GUI RPC was issued to detect whether or not we were atached to an account manager during menu creation the GUI thread would go about doing idle processing while waiting for the GUI RPC thread to initialize. During this time the frame pointer is NULL and was getting dereferenced which would halt window construction and stay there until some other event was fired.
    * MGR: Initial dose of code cleanup and shuffling. Order the menu functions in the order in which they are displayed in the menu.
    * client: address the situation where GPUs become unusable for certain periods (e.g. when Remote Desktop is used on Win). add is_usable() member function to COPROC. Currently this just calls the respective (CUDA or CAL) initialization function. We need to check whether this works and/or causes problems. In enforce_schedule(), check whether usability has changed for each GPU type. If we've gone from usable to unusable, flag all jobs for that GPU as coproc_missing (so they won't get run, and will quit if they're running). If we've gone from unusable to usable, clear the flag. This should deal with all cases except where the client is started up with GPUs unusable.
    * client: bug fixes to the above. Don't fetch work for an unable resource.
    * update cal.h to current ATI code
    * client/scheduler: standardize the FLOPS estimate between NVIDIA and ATI. Make them both peak FLOPS, according to the formula supplied by the manufacturer.

    The impact on the client is minor: the startup message describing the GPU, the weight of the resource type in computing long-term debt. On the server, I changed the example app_plan() function to assume that app FLOPS is 20% of peak FLOPS (that's about what it is for SETI@home).

    * client: the weight of GPU debt in computing total debt should be (estimated throughput of all GPUs)/(estimated throughput of all CPUs) rather than the ratio of 1 GPU to 1 CPU. This change will hopefully cause ratios of granted credit to more closely match resource shares.
    * client: multi-thread jobs were being given too high priority; in particular, they were preempting jobs in the middle of time slice. Solution:

    1) don't use MT in the sort order defined by more_important(). 2) add a 2nd reordering in which MT jobs are moved ahead of non-MT jobs, but only if #CPUs used is < #CPUs (see promote_multi_thread_jobs())

    * client: the seqno of jobs in progress but not selected was being set to zero. It should be runnable_jobs.size(). This could potentially cause wrong scheduling decisions.
    * MGR: Fix build break on Mac

wenn es fehlerfrei läuft sag mal bescheid mein rechner ist gestern leergelaufen ^^ und ich sitzt hier noch bei meiner alden und bin gleich erst wieder @ home
 
Also bis jetzt läuft es fast Fehlerfrei.

Fast daher weil es kein Fehler im eigentlichen Sinn ist.
Da ich dieses <ignore_projectdelay> auf 0 gesetzt habe bestimmt ja nun das Projekt die Zeit bis zu nächsten Anfrage.
Die Standart 60 Sekunden reichen da eigentlich auch aus.
Nun das Problem das auftreten kann und bei mir schon aufgetreten ist.

Wenn der Server ein paar mal meldet "Server down" blabla, erhöht sich ja automatisch die Zeit bis zur nächsten Anfrage von 60 Sekunden auf 2 ? Minuten und dann irgendwann 12 Minuten usw.

Wenn das passiert läuft die Hütte natürlich leer bis die Zeit abgelaufen ist und der Rechner wieder nach WUs fragt und welche bekommt.

Meiner hatte heute genau dadurch ca. 12 Minuten nichts zu tun. Zumindest habe ich 12 Minuten rausgelesen ^^
Finde ich aber immernoch besser als wenn der Rechner um 23 Uhr aufhört WUs zu ordern und man es erst am nächsten Tag um 16 Uhr merkt oder er garkeine haben will ;D

Pest oder Cholera ? Ich hätte noch Schnupfen im Angebot *suspect*


PS:
Man müßte es doch hinbekommen das diese eingestellten 8 oder 16 virteullen Kerne den Server nicht mit Anfragen bombadieren.
Scheinbar liegt da das Problem wenn man <ignore_projectdelay> auf 1 stellt.
Ist aber nur eine Vermutung 8)
 
zugegeben dieses <ignore_projectdelay> ist eine blöde option meinerseits, ich habe diese option nur deshalb ins leben gerufen, weil ich manchmal von MW oder Collatz zu 12 oder 24 Stunden Warten verdonnert wurde....
 
Hallo Ihr bin gerade mit collatz erfolgreich ins gpu-compting eingestiegen.
mit Boinc 6.10.16, Ati 9.10 auf ner passiven Ati RV630 (HD2600/HD3600).
Habe noch dort noch keine zusätzlichen apps aufgespielt, da mir zu kompliziert.

Nun wegen des doch reibungslosen Verlaufs dachte ich mir milkyway würde mir von der Sache her noch mehs Spaß machen. Kann ich mit besagter GPU milkyway rechnen?
Habe habe mich bei mw angemeldet doch der client sucht immer nach ner nvidia gpu.

Funktioniert der ganze Spaß mit ner Ati gpu nur mit einer eurer Spezial apps?
Wäre mir doch ein wenig zu komliziert.

Tschuldige wenn ich so blöde Fragen stelle aber euer Thread ist mittlerweile doch reacht speziell.

BUG in ATI-PArt

Gipsel könnte es sein das der ATI-Part Probleme hat, wenn im System eine X2 im CF Modus + eine weitere ATI-Karte, welche nicht im CF-Modus läuft?

Bei mir hängen [fressen einen CPU-Core und dann passiert nix mehr] jedes mal sämtliche Anwendungen, welche mit Boinc+ATI zu tun haben [in dem Fall BoincManager/Collatz ATI-App und MW-Ati-App]
 
Sind bei euch auch die Zeiten unter MW länger geworden? Boinc zeigte bei mit immer so ca. 5min pro WU an jetzt sind es ca. 16min.

Lesen bildet: Travis hat bereits am Montag darauhin gewiesen, das die WUs nun länger werden! Bis zum vierfachen dessen was vorher , was auch immer er meinte, war.

Hallo, ich hatte Milkiway auf meiner 3850 unter Windows XP64 am laufen und hab bin jetzt auf Windows 7 (64) umgestiegen. Hab gleich den aktuellen 9.12 Catclyst installiert und was meldet mit BOINC?

"No usable GPUs found

und dadurch

"Milkyway@home [error] Missing coprocessor for task de_s222_3s_best_1p_03r_44_6081375_1261165432_0; aborting"


habt ihr einen Tipp woran das liegen könnte gibts Probleme mit den 9.12 oder mit BOINC?

Genau das war das Problem.

Ich habs heute früh um 4 Uhr gelöst, nur vergessen hier zu Posten...

Der Client lief Problem los die Nacht durch, endlich mal keine VPU-Recover...

Ist es eigentlich noch Sinnvoll bei den jetzt längeren Laufzeiten einer WU mehrere parallel zu rechnen? (auf einer 3850) Ich hatte jetzt mal getestet, egal aber ob eine oder drei aktiv sind die Auslastung liegt immer zwischen 50 und 70%

Jetzt bin ich gerade über ein anderes Problem gestolpert. Da BOINC nicht mehr als dienst gestartet BOINC wird, läuft es jetzt nur noch nach Nutzeranmeldung.

Wenn ich jetzt den PC neustarte und über Remotedesktopverbindung mich neu anmelde, loggt man sich in Windows ohne ATI Treiber ein. Das führt zum totalen Crash von BOINC und BOINC ist ohne Neustart des PCs nicht zur Arbeit zu bewegen.

Nach dem neu Start melde ich mich jetzt das erste mal über Ultra VNC an und wieder ab und kann danach Remotedesktopverbindung ohne Probleme nutzen.

Alles ein wenig ungünstig, wie macht ihr das mit GPU-Client und PCs die einige km entfernt sind?
 
Bekomme imemr ne fehlermeldung wenn ich die app installieren will

Das programm kann nicht gestartet werden, da amdcalrt64.dll auf dem Computer fehlt. Installieren sie das programm erneut, um das Problem zu beheben

Hallo,
probiere mal TeamViewer. Der kann als Service gestartet werden (musst ein festes Passwort in TV vergeben und TV entsprechend einstellen). Dann kommst du auch auf den Anmeldebildschirm von z.B. Server2k3 und kannst dich per Remote anmelden. Ich nutze das aktuell für F@H auf meiner einzigen NV-Maschine (eben mit 2K3 drauf), die per Remote bedient wird. Und da F@H auch nicht per RD will, könnte TeamViewer auch für BOINC funktionieren. Getestet hab ich's aber noch nicht.
